I wake up with the sunshine and Layla's foot on my face. How unpleasant. She sleeps weirdly. I hope she grows out of it. I look to where the nightstand beside the bed was, and I pick up my phone. A text message from 4 hours ago. And of course, it was from Connor. Connor doesn't like to sleep, so he would stay up until his body feels like it. It gets annoying when we go out with all our friends. He would say he's tired but you LITERALLY DIDN'T SLEEP AT ALL! Like... STFU :/
I sit up. I scroll through Instagram and see my friends' posts.
Looks like they went to a restaurant without me. Makes sense, what would they do in 2 weeks without me?
I close my phone and set it aside on the tall marble nightstand. I don't want to get out of this comfy, warm, white bed. Maybe I could sleep in for the rest of the vacation. No. I got things to do. Special things. Well, it isn't so special. They aren't special.
I slip out of bed, letting the cold brush through my legs. My Mom and Dad were so-called, "hot" so they blasted the freaking air conditioner. I shiver. I think I might get sick with this sudden temperature change. I run out of the room. I look down to see the living room once again but Brandon was lying on the long L-shaped teal couch on his phone.
"Good morning bro," I say while walking down the stairs.
"Hey, Zo." He doesn't turn his head. He must be mesmerized by something on his phone again. Probably some game console he wants. I charge over to him and snatched the phone to tease him.
"Hey! Be careful with that thing!" He screams out, trying to get the phone out of my hands.
"What's so special that you have to keep a secret from me on this phone of yours?" I run to the kitchen and he follows. I catch up to a table that separates us.
"Don't you dare look at it!" He shouts.
"Oh come on. It's not like-" I stop myself. This is pure bully material. "Aww, so tell me about her."
"About who," Brandon says. I think he was hoping I wouldn't notice the girl he was looking at on Instagram.
"So, you stalking this girl. Who is this anyway?" I say cleverly.
"You don't need to know that." He tries to snatch the phone back but he misses.
"How about we make a deal. You don't know anything about this girl, and I won't tell both of those guys you like them both."
I blush at the thought of Luis and Maxon. Ugh! Even in the morning, I can't get rid of them. I place the phone on the table and raise my hands. "Ok ok. The phones' yours."
