We're off to New York City. I have to sit next to Nico and Brandon, so hopefully, they don't pick a fight with one another and include me in it.

"Nico, Brandon, let's track how long it takes to get there. And what time we get there" I say trying to do something fun.

"Okay, let's do it," Nico shouts. "Brandon?" I ask wanting to get everyone into the fun. "Fine" he shrugs.

I was going to ask Layla if she wanted to join in the fun, but she was already sound asleep!

"Okay so our plane ride started at 9:15 we will be there in around 5 hours," I say. "And right now in New York, it's 12:15..." Nico chimes in. "We will be there around 4 to 5 pm I think," I say trying to figure out the math.

"That's about right," Brandon says trying to act smart.

"Ok well, I'm going to take a nap, wake me when snack arrives," I tell Brandon and Nico.

"Okay." They answer.

"Ahh. Isn't this plane ride so calm and relaxing?" Juliana rests her head back on the plane seat and closed her eyes.
"Ah yes, of course. Not like we're in middle class." Mikayla replies.
"What? There's nothing wrong with being here!" Juliana snaps back.
"I'm literally squished in here!" I say. I was in between my friends, Juliana and Mikayla. We were in the middle row while my other friends, Connor and Shelby had the window seats on the right. The plane ride to New York was surprisingly smooth. No turbulences, no nothing! Even though I was packed in between them, I felt safe. Nothing could harm me from here.

I felt my body slowly relax. I drop the eye cover on my face and I was ready to rest. I started to fall into a deep nap when suddenly an annoying beeping noise constantly kept beeping like an alarm clock. Something had to have happened to provoke such an alarm. I shot up and jumped. The seat belt caught me, but at what cost? The speaker went off with the pilot saying fearful news.
"Everyone please remain calm. One of the planes engines has stopped working. Look at the screen in front of you and follow directions. If you need any help, please get your nearest flight attendant. If anyone near you is sleeping, wake them up immediately. Help yourself, then others!" The news made everyone baffled. I look around me and everyone's following the directions on the screen in front of them. All the constant screaming made me horrified. It seems like everyone wanted to survive what might be a plane crash.

I look to my screen, and it started to malfunction. The lights on the plane went out and everyone was suddenly quiet. It was like I was starring in a horror movie. But was I the main character who survives it all? I started to feel light-headed. I feel myself lift and butterflies fly into my stomach. IS THE PLANE CRASHING?! I started hyperventilating. My heart felt like it was kicking my chest. This is the end of my life and I couldn't even find someone to love. I hear my name get called from afar.

"ZOE! ZOE!" A familiar voice called out.
"Huh?" I shout back at the voice. I was too scared to move. I curled up into a ball and started to cry and whine. Why is this happening?!
"Zoe? ZOEEE? ZOE!" Another voice called.

I shot up from my slumber. I look around and the plane wasn't crashing at all. It was just a dream.

"Zoe, you're finally awake. The snacks are here." Nico says shaking me.

"The snacks are here already?" I yawn as my eyes slowly open up after being scared to death by a dream.

"Yes now get up," Brandon says sitting up and waiting to get his snack.

As the flight attendant got around to everyone it was finally our turn. "May I get a bag of chips please?" Brandon winks at the flight attendant. "Of course! What kind of chips. Potato chips, Doritos..." she smiles back at him while she lists all the chips. "Potato chips would be nice. How much?" he asks. "Two dollars. Would you, maybe, like something to drink?" she askes shyly. "No thank you. Here are your two dollars." As Brandon is about to give her the Two dollars he slides in a little piece of paper in between the dollars and folds it up.
