Yumeko "Card Game"

My first Yuri on this Book hope you enjoyed it.

I transferred to Hiyakkaou Private Academy my first year. My family is from Haiti and is one of the wealthiest family in our country. They decided it would be best for me to explore the world now than later so they send me to Japan for my studies.

When I first arrived here, I was starred at for the most part. However later on I heard that students gamble during lunch and after school and that students who lost and owe a lot of money are deemed as pets. At first, I didn't want any part of this bs game, but some gurl challenge me to a game so I agree.

It was a card game and I played my share in them so I won naturally. I won 100,000 yen that game and it was the start of my gamble season here. I would win some and lose some but over time I got known on campus. I even had some "pets" for a while but I let them go because I hated that idea.

One day, a girl transfer to my class. I look at her and realize how beautiful she was. Long black hair with burgundy eyes. She starred at me also and smiled at me. I waved back at her and looked down on my desk blushing. "Why am I feeling this way?"

Later on that day I hear a commotion in the cafe. I go over to see what's going on and saw the new girl gambling with Mary. Well damn, she got into to game quick asf.

As the game progresses, I could tell that Mary was losing and Yumeko, (overheard her name) was winning. Once they announce the game was over, Mary was in tears and Yumeko had a smile on her face. She turns around and looks over at me, I look away from her.

The day ended and I was on my way home when I heard footsteps behind me, it was Yumeko and Ryota. "Do you guys need anything?" I asked bluntly. "Ummm not exactly but Yumeko wanted to ask you a question," Ryota said. I looked at her and she asked her question.

"Do you want to play a game tomorrow after school?"

That took me by surprise. It's normal for people to challenge me but they would have experience but this girl only played one game. "So you think you beat Mary and can challenge anyone?" I snapped. "No," she answer "I heard rumors that you're good at it and I wanted to see for myself."

Her eyes stared at me tensely, which gave me shivers down my spine. "I see. Okay then, I challenge you to a match." Yumeko smile and cheered "Wonderful, so I'll see you tomorrow after school then L/n-chan." I just nodded my head and walked until I got home.

THE NEXT DAY

Everything was normal and calm throughout the day. I see Yumeko in the hallway smiling at me. Naturally, I smile back and kept it pushing. I kept to myself and didn't think too much of this game she wanted to pay.

School was finally over and everyone who had planned on gambling went to the study rooms. I went in there and saw Yumeko and Ryota sitting down at a table. I went over there and saw the layout of the cards for the two of us.

"What's the game," I asked while I sat myself down. "The game doesn't have a name but here's how you play," Yumeko explains "Each player gets 10 cards and a card is shown on the table. If the card has 10 hearts, the players must have a card identical to that said card or close to it. If they do, they put the card down and then they pull a card from the pile and they repeat. Whoever has no cards left wins."

"So it's like Uno," I mumbled. "Never heard of that game. You'll have to show me one day," Yumeko smirk. Is she flirting with me?? I shake my head and focus on the game. Ryota pull a card and it had 8 stars. I look down and realize I have 8 hearts so I pull that out, but Yumeko had a copy of the card. She wins this round.

Pretty soon a crowd begin to form around us, which was expected. For a game so easy, it sure took a long ass time to finish. I was down to four cards and Yumeko had 5. Ryota pulls out a card with 4 hearts. I didn't have a 4 or any heart. Yumeko had 4 stars and put it down. Can't let her catch up with me!

"You know I heard many things about you Y/n," Yumeko started. "Like what?" I asked curiously. "That you're one of the best players in my school and the top students in your class," she explained. I put a card down. "I mean when you're from a culture that values education it just happens I guess." Yumeko smile as she said this " Not to mention you're very beautiful and have lovely skin."

I paused at that part. Did she just said that?! Oh my gosh, wtf do you say after this?! I wasn't concentrated on the game until I heard Ryota announced "Yumeko has no card left which means she's the winner." "What?!" I yelled "That's not fair! She distracted me during the game!" He just shrugged his shoulders, "Can't help you with that."

I look over at her and still see that smile o her pretty little face. I sighed in defeat and shook hands with me, "Good game Yumeko." "Likewise Y/n. I'll ask for my prize tonight." Tonight? What does she have plan? I nodded my head, grabbed my backpack, and left the school.

Nighttime came and Yumeko was at my house. I went outside with her. I was already in my bonnet so I had no plans on going out. When she looked at me, she noticed my bonnet and asked. "What's that on your head?"

"It's a bonnet. It protects my hair while I sleep."

She shook her head, "Well I'm here to get my prize."

"What is it? Money, material belonging, what?"

"A date with you tonight."

That caught me off guard. My eyes widened when she said that. Did she asked me on a date?! "Well, I don't think tonight is appropriate as it is a school night," I said.

I could feel that Yumeko was hurt by my answer, but I had never been with a girl before. I always found them attracted but where I'm from, it's bad to date the same sex. "It's okay Y/n, I'll ask for something different tomorrow at school."

Crap! I don't know what to do?! Should I give us a chance? What if my parents find out? What if I'm look down at back home? What if......

"YUMEKO WAIT!" I screamed. She turned around and look at me.

"How about Friday night after school? I hear of this Sushi place downtown that just opened up."

A smile came on her pretty face. "I'll love that! See you tomorrow!" She ran happily home as I watch her. A part of me is worried about what more is to come but another is saying I made the right choice.
