Two things were more than obvious: 1 – the family of Eva Machado wanted a guilty; and the police initially had a suspect. I was in the middle of all this, anyway I introduced the children to Eva and from there she had the idea to adopt them; 2 – as Eve was very known the press would fall upon as an avid dog bone and the collection would be too strong of the directors.
Eva's funeral was very painful in every way. It was a very honest, brave and cherished by all. A lot of people was taken and then monitor their burial in the Cemetery of the innocents, in the family plot. Was to join the other pioneers of this town.
The Bishop of the city was who did the thanks and paid homage to Eva at the wake, talking very beautiful words that really had nothing to do with her, a kind-hearted woman, fighter and faithful to all.
His family was together, their children, grandchildren, siblings still alive. In addition to an immense sadness was also a riot. Even those who had not been against the adoption of John and Dahlia now see with different eyes. But when I talked to them, they preferred to wait for the result of investigations in progress.
Except one. Geraldo. He was specifically with much hatred. I never could talk right with him, as was always attacking me and Juliana, because we're responsible for adoption. You couldn't discuss and explain that we only present, and still was a fluke. The decision to adopt was totally and exclusively of Eva.
- I do whatever it takes to make that brat pay for what he did to my mother. Will burn in hell, cripple of shit. I can't swear that son of a bitch because he doesn't listen. Even integer is. - For those who want to listen to Geraldo was screaming and the worst is that he always had someone who gave her rope.
Sometimes I still tried to ponder, but he looked at me with hatred and said it was my fault. There was more dialogue.
- My love, don't mind him, just with pain over the loss of the mother, even more the way it was. He comforted me – Juliana.
- I know. I try not to call, but he's a complete moron. Only talks nonsense and still will be able to convince someone like him.
- You really believe in the innocence of John? – asked Juliana.
Looked tired to her and nodded my head in the affirmative.
- Yes. I feel like there's a lot wrong with that. John wouldn't have the guts. And the killer left a lot on the fact. It's all very right ... Too much up. But the worst is that the trend in research is to stay with the same John. I spoke quickly with the dahlia and that bracelet was actually John.
After the funeral of my so dear friend I myself fully in the investigation. There was a lot wrong and wanted to understand. I didn't believe in the guilt of John ... I didn't want to believe. First that John was a child incapable of any act of barbarity and second, after committing a crime so he wouldn't be in the House.
But, as was Geraldo who found the body and the issue of finding the bracelet just in the media, John was already being touted as the real author of the crime.
A lot of people were already condemning the poor John before even terminating the police investigation.
The delegate asked for the internment and custody of John Teenager's House until the hearings in juvenile court are underway. He was scared, very scared of the charges that were doing.
It was discussed and agreed upon between I, Juliana, John and Dahlia that would be wiser to keep him hospitalized until not to suffer any kind of reprisal out here, because a lot of people would want to fight with him and still had the press that would be on top.
Sister Catherine was desolate. Ended up going to visit us in our House.
- Douglas, tell me who will do anything to blame doesn't fall on John. He is a child. An Angel. – Begged sister Catherine and I could tell in his face how much she was suffering. There were no visible marks that had been crying. She loved John as much as I do and Juliana.
-Sister, can rest assured that I will do my best, but I have to warn you that if, for some reason, really John's fault, it's my job to bring him to justice.
- I know. - replied the nun. She usually appeared not her age, little more than fifty years, but these days it seemed that had aged more than 10 years. Were most prominent wrinkles and white hair has started to emerge.
Dahlia was disconsolate. During this period she stayed in the House support. She couldn't stay home because that would be a reason for me out of the investigation and I needed to be there.
And worst of all is that Geraldo was now accusing too. Not satisfied just in assaulting John, Dahlia was part of his continuous attacks.
Now said she had helped his brother, that he wouldn't force himself to kill Eve and the fact that she wasn't in the House meant nothing. The crime could have happened earlier.
Of course, the exam report is that would corroborate or not this charge of Geraldo.
Geraldo, as son of Eva also was known among his friends and there was a Prosecutor, and pulling his strings he made this Prosecutor takes over the case and it wasn't uncoil to John or Dahlia.
Each passing day, things became worse.
In conversation with the delegate, it calmed me down, yet he pointed out that the allegations were unfounded.
- See Douglas, there are no marks of a break-in at the House, she was in the room and offered no resistance. At least when we went to the scene saw no marks of violence, despite the fact that she was holding the strap, there's apparently she marks have reacted. The gun was near the bed and was one of the kitchen knives.
I delegate, really are a lot of evidence accusing the kids, but I didn't give up. I will continue investigating. Someone touched home after that?
- No. It remains closed, sealed. No one was there. Only a person who was cleaning the room. Virtually no family was still in the House.
- The Lord allows me to go take a look?
- Clear Douglas, part of the investigation the officer go to the scene of the crime.
Without much hope, I went to the House.
