It was all a blur.
The running that is, and well Logan was not ready, only just keeping up with the darkly dressed other until they got far enough away. Virgil flipping his hair back, a soft laugh escaping their lips as they looked up to the grey-blue skies above them, surrounded by high buildings. Logan looking at him confused, why was Virgil laughing at a time like this? He shook his head and looked over almost unimpressed, scared?
"What? Why are we running? Why are you laughing?" he was confused as he stepped closer to Virgil shaking his head as he came down from his high, "Live a little nerd," he rolled his eyes before walking off, Logan hurrying after, just so he didn't get lost. Virgil rolling his eyes as the other trailed behind like a lost puppy, "You know I don't like you," he says and Logan... Logan saddened? His expressions drooped, making the emo frown, "Hey, I didn't say I never liked you now?" he attempted to somewhat cheer them up "P-Pat is usually better at comforting, I'm pretty shit-" he chuckled, trying whatever he could to make the nerd feel better, for whatever reason he felt a need to try and bring a smile or something back to Logan's face, Maybe he was sick? He placed a hand to his head only confusing the tie wearer even more, "May I ask if you are alright Virgil?" he spoke up. To which Virgil nodded, giving a small shrug, "probably not, but we don't mention it" he said moving his way to a small shop on the other side of the block they just ran to.
The area itself was dead, the streets, quiet to the point you could hear a penny drop, the looming building over them causing a cool breeze, making the nerd shiver, he never did well in the cold, maybe if he had someone to cuddle? What? Logan shook his head in almost shock with himself. Cuddles? Really? Who was he?
However, he wouldn't admit they sounded kind of nice.

They two continued to walk round the desolate area till they stopped coming across a store, a small store with half the neon sign above flickering, the other half pretty much dead but the hum of electricity was still there 'Sal's: 24/7' So this is where Virgil wanted to spend his time? A shitty convenience store? Logan was both confused and intrigued before they spoke up, "You want to spend your day here? Virgil? You sure?" They asked, looking at the darker hair one as they nodded taking their hand as they walked in the small shop bell ringing as they walked, "Yeah, I come here every day out i get, It's quiet, they sell good things and of course, we get to relax, we're not patients, we're human- or in your case, robot" he snickers and shakes his head browsing around the shop, Logan following like a lost puppy, "So what's the protocol? With bringing stuff back?" He changed the subject.
"We can bring it back, as long as it doesn't affect anyone's progress within the rehab and it doesn't hurt anyone, such as alcohol or knifes etc," he paused as Virgil looks over, "Which is why half of Romans sex toys are banned, because they count as a 'danger'-" he picked something up before putting it back down.looking around however, looking over "why'd you ask? Thinking of smuggling because that's pretty bad ass, I didn't think you would have the balls," he snickered, Logan giving a soft smile, trying to hide how uncomfortable he felt.
A few minutes pass and all there has been is radio silence, the two awkwardly shuffling around. Before Logan spoke up "Tell me about Remus-" he sputtered suddenly aware that he openly said that in air that was already thick, this now felt like he was suffocating. But he never knew why, why this cotton feeling came into his throat or how he suddenly had an urge to pick up the nearest bottle of liquor and drink it straight, no. He can't have any of those thoughts anymore, he was supposed to be getting better, he was getting bett-
He was cut off by a hand on his shoulder making Logan flinch badly, so much so that Virgil pulled away as if Logan was burning up, "Woah, dude, calm down, I've been calling your name for 5 minutes," Virgil for once had a concerned look on his face, this wasn't a worried face, like the usual one which sat on his face. This was a genuine, genuine panic, and almost fear, Logan was so caught up in analyzing the other, he didn't even realize he had spaced off again.
"Dude? Are you listening?" he asked Logan giving a shake of the head and a bashful look, his eyes sweeping to the alcohol once more before looking back to Virgil, as they wandered around explaining as they went:
"Remus is one of the oldest patients here. Not by age, by the amount of time they have been here Roman next then Me. No one has been able to get a look at his records yet but as far as we know he has psychopathic tendencies and some strong addictions to things like Heroin, like me and cocaine." he paused to make sure Logan was following as he gave a quick nod, "he also is wearing a straight jacket for doctors health as when he doesn't take his meds he violently assaults anyone and anything insight, as well as he lack of brain cells making him forget said medications" he moved along an isle, giving a small sigh as he stretched, "we all try to help him remember, including Janus which is impressive, as she has amnesia, Which is why she's here, which reminds me, Janus uses she/they pronouns, or they think they do, they-" he sighed, "they can't remember, so they usually share a room with someone, not as much anymore as their last roommate was let off seeing as they were clean and no efforts or attempts to relapse during their time here y'know?" they gave a small smile as if the memories were coming back into his head. "they believed they could see figments of their imagination, I mean they might have, but they were medicated and made no efforts to like- stop the figments or overuse their medication." they began to put some stuff in their basket, when did they get a basket? Logan shook his head but still listened, "Remus however, Supposedly this stemmed from a divorce? Like their parents split and the twins each found their own coping mechanisms? I mean they are both in, so it must've been some break, but it really isn't my place to say, maybe they have some sort of PTSD or C-PTSD against the mention of their parents divorce? I mean it could explain lots-" Virgil was now rambling to himself. "Are you sure you should be throwing round such words especially in public?" he asked, a worried tone in his voice. Virgil gave a somewhat of a snicker, before remembering that this was Logan's first time outside, "Oh.. Oh buddy-" he chuckled, "We won't get in trouble or anything, this block were taken is the one were taken to because its quiet, We are never forced into the public when we aren't ready or the feel like we are at risk, like take Roman for example, He's only allowed out when he hasn't made an sexual attempt on anyone for like a week, which means he doesn't get out often, but he does try. " Virgil hummed before looking down, "You wanting anything?" he asked and Logan nodded, getting a few sweets from his childhood which would make him feel better, when he needed them, However the one thing which caught his eyes was a set of teddies, a rainbow collection. Before he could even think rationally he bought them, or more so handed them to Virgil as he gave a skeptical look, "Really? This is what you are spending your money on?" he said, almost surprised, I mean it was not usual for a nerd and an emo to be buying a small rainbow collection of teddies, but each to their own, the colours were the same as the one Logan learned in physics in high school, making him chuckle.
"What's so funny, nerd?" Virgil asked as he finished paying not making a way for the exit, the only door they entered before now glistening of their way back to their plain beds and rooms, and at this rate, Logan felt like calling them home, however he knew that wasn't the best thing to do, he would get attached, and when he had to leave he would drink to forget his attachments, which would only leave him back in the same room, with the same walls and the same faces, but. Now, that seemed more like a comfort than anything.
"Nothing, Nothing, just remind me of my high school days-" he smiled somewhat nostalgically, as Virgil snickered.
"Gay teddies remind you of high school? Jeez, what sad years you had" he joked earning a small laugh from Logan.

Which lead to now, Logan sitting back on the bus, listening to the small taps of Virgil's shoes on the floors of the bus, however, Logan now saw the other in a different light, and it most certainly positive, maybe the feeling, that cotton, woozy feeling was for Virgil now- oh no? What does that mean- I mean it wasn't as serious of a schedule being messed up, but it was nearly there, Logan was so caught up thinking, his mind spaced off. His brain was no longer filled with one addiction, Oh no, there was another one, but was this one positive?
One thing Logan definitely didn't see was Roman. Roman was staring daggers at Logan, but for whatever reason he was unsure.

Dear Diary,
Today was really something else to put it lightly. As I did not expect for my afternoon to be having a heart to heart inside of a convenience store which, in hindsight was rather inconvenient due to its place in the street, the area was dead which will not be a good way to get income if that is your primary source.... I am rambling again aren't I? However, It went well. I was quite impressed to understand the amount of knowledge that Virgil holds about everyone in this place... He seems to know most general details of everyone, even so about the Kingswell Twins. Supposedly, the reason that they are in here is the aftermath of a parents divorce? It seems believable, but not to the situation to which I thoroughly believe it, maybe I shall ask Remus, as we seem to be growing more fond of one another, albeit his eating habits are... concerning. But I will have to ask to complete my theory.
As for my own habits today they were rough, I was with Virgil in the store and the alcohol was there, seemingly tauntingly. I never understood why people find it so hard to stay so clean despite being someone who is coming clean themselves. But today was one of the first times I fully realised, It was a craving. Like I was looking at an oasis in the middle of a desert. Now I'm no religious man but only god knows what would've happened if Virgil wasn't there.
However, we are going home now, in the bus and I may have to look back for answers, but did Virgil's eyes always have that shine? It is an iridescent display. They make Virgil themself look unearthly. And it is rather... Beautiful?
