Thursday Evening

"So, everything's set for Saturday, right?"

"Bro, how many times are you gonna ask me that, I already told you at school today, yesterday and Monday, Simone and I set the plans, it's good Spence just relax" Jordan was facetiming Spencer going over the plans for his date night with Olivia which would also be the night he's going to ask her to prom. Jordan had already asked Simone in his own unique way, so Spencer was having them help him make the moment special for Liv as well.

"I'm sorry bro, I guess I'm just nervous, I ain't never done this for anyone, everything has to be perfect"

"Oh, you mean you ain't do this for your girl Laylay when you asked her to homecoming? Wait you, you didn't even ask her to homecoming, she was Asher's date, wasn't she?" Jordan was cracking jokes knowing it would irritate his best-friend.

"Lay-la ain't my girl first off, and second off, you think you got jokes, yet you talk all the shit for someone who can't even run one with me on the field, tell me J, how's that concussion treating you?" Spencer shot back at him with a hint of a smirk coming across his lips.

"Screw you Spence" Jordan told him simply.

"I think I'm good on that bro and that's kinda your sister's job!" Spencer threw back at him again with their banter ending in a robust of joint laughter.

"Just...gross" Jordan shivered in his desk he was sitting at, failing to get his homework done. He had always been team spelivia deep down, despite the whole "I think he's our brother" scenario, but it didn't mean he wanted to see any of it.

"Nah but frfr J, did you and Simone scratch everything off the list?"

"Brooooo yes we did ok just chill, you are wrecking my flow rn"

"Your flow on what exactly? The paper you were supposed to write hours ago?"

"Yeah, no thanks to you"

"Nah fam that ain't on me, I literally just called you not even thirty minutes ago and you were still in the same place you were before we started talking, you tried it tho" Spencer disagreed with his best-friend trying to say he's a distraction.

"Man whatever, since you asking me about my part for this shindig, is yours ready too?"

"You already know J, got the reservations, and the tickets squared away, you and Simone just make sure everything else gets there and is set in stone before we get back to the house"

"Bruh if you don't get off my case, I told you me and my wife got thissss. Parents will be out of town on business, then once they leave and you pick Liv up from the house, Simone and I will decorate the area and set everything in motion. Don't worry Spence, it's going to go great and she's going to love it"

"You right J, thanks for that reminder, kinda needed to hear that" Spencer showed appreciation to him.

"It's what I'm here for, you haven't told her anything have you?"

"No, she doesn't know a thing, I just told her that I had a special date planned for us this weekend and to make sure she's dressed up for it, but you know she's been asking me all the questions"

"You're not the only one, man every time I walk in this house, here she come giving me the third degree, do you know what spencer's planning, you're his best friend so I know he told you, what is it what is it?" Jordan mimicked his sister earning a laugh as Spencer's deep drawl rumbled through the microphone.
