(RANTARO POV :: FIRST PERSON)

I heavily panted and stopped running, leaning on his legs. Regardless, I looked at Saihara, who had been standing there in the rain. Although, I personally couldn't tell if he was crying, or is the rain was just soaking him more by the second.

"Saihara?" I call out once, hoping for a reply. A short pause. The silence was so loud. There was a gap infront of us, seperating us. He turned around, and I could see him softly sniffling unto his wet sleeve. "Saihara.."

He'd been crying while running, he looked like he might pass out. Out of breath, I moved my way closer. "Stop..!" He demanded.

He looked much more dominant looking up at me. "Amami, I—" It seemed like he noticed his sudden aggressiveness. "I'm— sorry."

"No, I should be saying so—" Before I was able to continue, he broke eye contact with me, and shifted his glaze elsewhere, aimlessly. A small leaf fell on his wet hair. He took it off and used it as an excuse to lie to me. I will admit, it is smart.

"Never mind.. I just wanted to.." He trailed off at first. "I wanted to thank you."

I tilted my head at the response. It was confusing, and only slight annoying how quiet he had to be. He could at least elaborate, right? And I really should have apologized first.

"Thank me? There's no need." I finally give him a carefree reply, the rain droplets hitting the ground seemed to slow. How long have they been hanging out for? How long was Saihara running for? Either way, I just wanted to say the apology and get it out of the way.

"N-No, not like.. that." He muttered. It was almost more audible since the rain was gone. Who knew droplets were so loud? I move closer to him, reaching a hand out.

"I understand." I nod my head, almost immediately getting the hint.

He smiled at me. "Thank you."

"You don't need to thank me." I admit.

He takes my hand, and we slowly move into a hug.

(SHUICHI POV :: FIRST PERSON)

I couldn't help but blush at the other. His dominance was overwhelming, but in a good way. The hug was warm, and since he'd been in the rain, it was soggy but comfortable.

"Hey.. I should apologize, huh? I mean, I told you I wouldn't say anything.. and I did. Weither you like it or not, I really wanted to tell you." He sheepishly chuckled at me, pulling away from the hug. I slightly pouted with a chuckle back at him.

"No, no, it's fine, really. I really enjoyed your offer today. Although we didn't do much, I learned a lot about you."He gave me butterflies. I could probably die right there.

I think I need to avoid him for now..
