Chapter 2

--FLASHBACK--

I was hanging out with, Amy my childhood friend from London, who was visiting. My mum was at work and my dad was on a bussines trip in Florida, supposed to come back in two days.

We were playing Mario Kart on Wii and had a great time. Then my phone rang. It was my mum

We paused the game and I picked up the phone. "Heeeey mummy!!" I was pretty hyper, but there was no response.

"Mum?" I began to worry, she always told me exactly what she wanted right away, so she wouldn't waste any of her time.

"Melanie..." She began. She sounded sad. I've never experienced her like this before. "Will you come to my work right away? I have to tell you something..." Her voice was shaking, but other than that the sentennce came out perfectly. No sobbing, no studdering. No nothing..

"I'll be there in 15 minutes..." I hung up and looked at Amy. "Just... Just stay here, I'll be back as soon as possible..."

She didn't question me. She could see on my facial expressions that something was wrong. I took my dad's car, since he wasn't in Ireland right now he did not need it. I walked into my mum's office, noticing she wasn't the only one in there.

"Melanie, this is Arthur. Your dad's boss..." She started. What was happining? And why was my dad's boss involved in all of this?

"Nice to meet you, Melanie. Unfortunately, not under these conditions of course..." Arthur was looking at me with pity in his eyes. "I have bad news..."

I looked over to my mum, confused. She was sitting in her chair, trying to hold back her tears.

"Your dad decided to cut the trip short and took an early flight earlier today. The plane crashed with no survivors..." My eyes flew over at him. I could feel tears forming in my eyes, my mouth hanging. Everything went blurry and I felt tears streaming down my cheeks. I fell down on my knees, trying to get it into my head.

"No! No, it's a joke! You're joking!" I screamed with my head in my hands. I felt a pair of shaking arms wrap around me and my shirt slowly became soaked in tears. It was my mum.

"I'm so sorry, Mel..." Niall said, looking at me from across the table once again. I smiled, maybe a little fake, but I was truly happy to see him.

"It's nothing... I moved here a month after that, I couldn't live with my mum anymore... And everything back there reminded me of him. I just couldn't live there." There were tears in my eyes, but I fought them back.

"I should probably get out of here soon, or else people will soon know where I am.. Want to come with me?" He smiled at me.

"Yeah I would like that!"

When we walked into Niall's house I heard some voices from what would be the living room. Then my phone rang. It was Amy.

"'sup Amy?" I said with a smirk playing on my lips, looking at Niall who was smiling.

"Hey, what are doing today? Can I come over? I'm booored!!" I heard her voice say over the phone.

"I'm just at an old friend's house.. But maybe you can come over?" I looked questioning at Niall who nooded with a small smile. Then he walked into the living room, beginning to talk to the people in there.

"Okey-dokey, where is it?"

I gave her the adress and went after Niall into the living room, seeing four familiar faces sitting either on the sofa or on the floor. It was of course Harry, Louis, Zayn and Liam, Niall's bandmates.

"Hi Melanie!" They all said in unison.

"I told them who you are." Niall told me with a smirk, who was sitting on the armrest of the sofa.

"Uhm.. My friend Amy is coming over, if that's alright with you all?" I said with a nervous but hopeful smile.

"Of course! As long as she bring a movie because Nialler here doesn't have any good ones!" Louis spoke up from the floor leaning against Harry's legs. He was talking in a over excited but not over acting voice, earning a death glare from Niall. Yes, I knew all about who was who. And how Directioners ship Larry Stylinson...

"I'll just text her!" I said in the same kind of tone.

We had been talking, since there was nothing good on tv. Besides I looked Niall's movie collection through, and Louis were right...

Then there was a knock on the door and Liam, as the only one standing up at the moment, went opening it.

"Hey, you must be Amy! Come in." You could here him say from the hallway.

"Wait you're.. You're Liam Payne from One Direction! Did I get the right adress?" I never told Amy I had been best friends with Niall. Well, I told her about him, but never put a name on him. I did not like people to think I was bragging, so nobody actually knew.

"Just come on.." You could actually here the smile in his voice as he led her to the living room. I got up and ran to hug her. She was pretty startled.

"What..? How..? Why..? Who..? Where..?" She began after she pushed me away from a hug.

"Remember I told you about my best friend in Ireland but never named?" She nooded. "That was Niall. I just bumbed into him on the street earlier."

Soooo... This is chapter two! I don't know if I like it, but I wrote most of it in class, while I should actually have been listening. (oooops!!!!!)

But now it's almost weekend....

Aaaand one of the reasons why it's maybe not that good is because I borrow my mom's computer for school and school only. My own is at reperation... Has been it for two weeks now... So I can only write when I'm in school! But I also have to listen!! ARGH!! HATE SCHOOL!!

I miss my computer...

But I LOVE YOU ALL!! Eventhough there's not many of you! :D
