I tried swallowing it and then coughed, still kind of suffocated.
Jennie suddenly appeared beside me, while the door was now closed.
"Lisa, are you okay?" she asked me, but the dry cough that came out of my throat didn't let me talk. "I'll give you some water, wait," she ran towards the sink and took a glass, fulfilling it quickly with the liquid that came out of the faucet.
She got closer to me and extended the glass towards me, i drank the water, waiting for that burning feeling in my throat to disappear, such as the coughing too.
"Better?" she inquired.
"Yeah," I left the glass on the table. "Thank you."
"That happens when you choke with your food, Limario," she joked.
I laughed hearing that name that she had been calling me for years, and no matter how many times I told her I hated it, she kept saying it.
"Well, that happens when you make me come from Thailand without eating," I refuted, laughing.
Jennie sat beside me and snatched my cookie, finishing it herself.
"Hey!"
"There's pizza in the fridge, I think that'd make you fuller than a cookie," she said.
"I'm mure sleepy than hungry, so you better take me somewhere to have breakfast tomorrow," I smiled. "Hey, Jennie..." i hesitated and played with the fingers of my hand. "Jisoo is... your girlfriend?"
"And the thing I love the most." She affirmed.
"And why didn't you tell me, Unnie?" I pretended to be hurt, which I kind of was.
"Because we've been dating for a month."
"A month? Our last call was yesterday, Jennie!" I emphasized.
She shrugged in her seat.
"Alright, alright, I wanted to surprise you."
"Well, you did. I thought after the whole Nayeon thing you would not..." I left the sentence in the middle but she understood.
"Yeah, I thought so too. If not, I wouldn't have ran away like I cowardly did." She smiled. "But I met Jisoo and... I love her.
"Really? It has only been a month since you started dating, how much could you know about her?" I said.
"I know her enough, Lisa." She looked at me with a serious expression. "i thought you'd be happy for me."
"I am!" and I really was, but something twisted inside of me, something made me confused. That type of confusion when you can't explain why things move so fast and change one day to another. "I'm happy that you've moved on with your life, you give me an example." I admitted.
"What do you mean i give you an example? Are you still in love with Jungkook?" She jumped back, looking at me with her eyes, open as wide as plates.
"No! Of course not! That already happened, what I mean is that, you're not stuck in the past; like me with my parents' accident."
"Oh, Lisa, that was already three years ago, now you're a professional 22-year-old photographer and have a lot to bring out of this life of yours," she put her arm around my shoulders, "but let's not talk about sad themes. Tell me: have you found someone special?
I smiled at her curiosity and wide inquiring smile. But to my mind, came into the name of Kim Jisoo, like a wave of wind, fast and fleeting.
"What a weird thing"
"What? Who did you meet?" I realized I had said it out loud, or loud enough for Jennie to hear.
"Eh? Ah..." I stuttered.
