As night fell the blue haze of day lifted to reveal the stars. Even in the velvet dark, there is the light of the stars, but they could only shine so bright as the dark forest below cast many shadows that light barely peeked through the canopies. Figures ran through this forest as if they were nothing but blurs in the dark. They jumped over large rocks, landing as if the height wasn't a problem, and continued to run as if their ankles were made of metal springs. As they ran, flashes of red reflected off the trees.

The first of the figures, a handsome young man with short brown hair with most of it covering his left eye and some deep red on the top, lept out of the forest, the moon fought the clouds, wanting to shine its light on the earth.

It soon appeared a few moments later, it sent a slightly silver mist upon the woods slowly lighting up the area and the man turned his gaze upwards to it with a slight smile, his eyes, glowing a deep crimson red. He closed his eyes for a brief moment then turned behind him as more of the figures left the safety of the dark forest, eyes glowing the same crimson.

As they stepped out into the light of the moon, they were revealed to be more young men, some looking younger than others but one wouldn't know if they were older or younger than they appeared but out of the group, one of the remaining last ones to leave the forest was a young woman, the only one as well.

"Kai, I would've won," she complained, walking up to the one who had left the forest first. He smirked. "Aw is nonna mad she didn't win?" He asked in a teasing tone, and she growled, the sound almost canine. "Well if you hadn't used your powers I would've won," She replied and the man, Kai, laughed.

She narrowed her eyes and punched his shoulder causing him to rub it with a whine. "Hyung stops whining, that's Chen hyung's thing," A young man with a mature face, almond-like shaped eyes thin eyebrows, sharp jawline and platinum blond hair with a black undercut said.

"Yah! I don't whine you brat," Another young man with high cheekbones, squarish face, and messy light brown hair said, or rather whined a bit, contradicting himself. "Does it matter who won? Least we can get out and be together," A young man with pointy-ish ears, pointy nose, soft eyes despite them glowing red, and black hair asked, trying to deescalate the situation while stepping in between the two.

"You're right Lay hyung. I know I'm enjoying myself," A tall young man with a deep voice, Yoda-like ears, and silvery-white dyed hair said. This caused the other, Lay, to smile, showing off his deep dimples. "We all had fun. Though next time, we won't use our powers," A young man who looked younger than the others with chubby-ish cheeks, smaller eyes, and blue hair said and a couple of the boys groaned. "Oh come on hyung. Using our powers spices things up more," Chanyeol said with a pout but the older male didn't concede.

Yeona, as well as some of the older boys, chuckled at the fire guardian's antics. "So that means I can't do this?" Chen asked, feinted curiosity in his voice as he sent a small shock to his dongsaeng who yelped and retaliated with a fireball. "Boys, enough," A young handsome, let's say all of them are, with rather striking features and silver-grey hair said and the two stopped.

"Sorry Suho hyung," Both said, admonished but the man, Suho, brushed them off. Getting chuckles from the others, the group then started to hang out, talking with each other, or even goofing around but not using their powers. It wasn't until the group was heading back home that Kai, the ever paranoid one, felt like someone was watching him and the others.

He would look back at times, of course, this made the others look at him confused but when he would keep doing it, the others started to get concerned. "Kai hyung, what's wrong?" Sehun asked, looking at his fellow guardian. The black and red-haired young man looked at the platinum blond then to the oldest and the leader. "I feel like someone is watching us," he replied, his voice sounding uneasy.

Suddenly, a bright light appeared that temporarily blinded the group, except Baekhyun, a young man who appeared younger than some with a slight puppy-like appearance with sandy blond hair.

When it died down, a doorway of light floated in the air in front of them but the strange thing was they couldn't see the other side causing many looks of confusion to appear on their faces.

"Hyung, what did you do?" Chen asked, looking at the guardian of light who was equally as confused. "I... I didn't do this. I swear I didn't!" He exclaimed, stuttering a little, and looked at the others, especially the older members. "I believe him," both Lay and Yeona said, making the light brown-haired man sigh, relieved.

"Guardians! Please, we need your help,"  The ten young adults jumped at the sound of the loud, resonant voice that came from the doorway. "Who are you?" Suho asked, suspiciously. "I am Lorien, Master of Dreams and Visions. I am not with you physically but I can speak through this temporary gateway I have created. Our land is in great peril. We need the help of the legends for your enemies have come." The voice answered only to be met with silence before Sehun broke it. "WHAT?! The Red Force?!"

All ten of the group looked at each other, concern and a bit unease present on their faces at the mention of their enemy. "If the Red Force is involved in this, I think it's safe to say, then we need to get involved in this as well," Xiumin, a young man who had slight a slight childish face with wide eyes and blue hair, spoke up and multiple heads nodded in agreement.

"Will you help us?" the Master of Dreams asked, with a slight pleading tone. "We will help you. The Red Force is something that isn't something to mess with if you don't know how to fight it," Suho answered much to the relief of the deity, judging by the sigh he gave, he was relieved to hear their decision.

Suddenly, the doorway started to flicker, slowly started to disappear."Excellent, now please hurry, I can't keep this gateway open for much longer," With that being said, the 10 young guardians quickly ran through the gateway but unfortunately, they wouldn't know it until they get to Middle Earth but they would be separated.
