the week passed by like a blur, and it was finally saturday.
the said day was bright and sunny with no ounce of any grey clouds in sight. the morning sunlight passes through the glass barrier of mei's room window. the rays of light seeped into the darkroom as the chorus of birds sang to welcome the new day and woke up the blonde-haired girl.
she groggily sat up on her bed and rubbed her eyes. yawns escaped through her mouth as she began to wake up. her feet hit the cold wooden floor as she did her morning stretch. as soon as she finished and was wide awake, her hands reached to her pink-cased phone and started checking her messages. as she was doing so, a notification made a 'ting!' sound.
she had hoped it would be from xingqiu, her boyfriend, sending her a good morning text or asking her if she already woke up. her hopeful spirits died down when in reality, it was from aether.

she quickly composed herself and got ready for her breakfast meetup with aether. it wasn't like she had anything to do today, and she hasn't had breakfast outside of her own home for a while now. the last time she did, it was when xingqiu and her recently got together back in the beginning of their junior year and he'd treat her out a lot.
she put on a v-neck white crop knitted cardigan with cherry prints paired with light denim jeans and white sneakers. not forgetting to take her white purse, she leaves her room and quickly bidding goodbye to her parents as she finally left her home sweet home.
