Carolyn (A Black Veil Brides Fanfic)

Chapter 2

*Carolyn’s POV one week later*

Today is the day we go see the greatest band ever! Well, plus Get Scared who are opening for them. I went through my wardrobe to find the outfit I bought the other day. Finally, I pulled out leather pants, Black Veil Brides shirt, leather jacket and black belt with handcuffs and chains attached. I quickly took a shower, put on my outfit and added a BVB logo necklace, leather fingerless gloves and a variety of black bracelets. I went to my mirror, brushed and teased my hair. I then started on my war paint. A mixture of Andy’s and Ashley’s designs. When I was happy I walked out to Zack’s room to see if he was ready, grabbing my phone and money on the way. Zack was wearing black skinny jeans, Black Veil Brides shirt and a leather jacket. He added an inverted cross necklace. He had thick eyeliner and his black contacts in.

‘Keeping it simple I see,’ I say smirking. He just looked at me and shrugged. He shoved past me and towards the front door. I scoffed.

‘Rude much?!’ he smirked at me while putting on his all-black converse.

‘Of course,’ he walked out the front door and into the car. I quickly put on my black buckle ankle boots and run after him, locking the door. He starts the car the moment I’m seated. He pulled out of the driveway before I could put on my seatbelt.

‘Someone’s excited,’ I teased smiling at him. He returned the gesture and looked at me.

‘Of course, it’s Black Veil Brides. We gotta get there early,’ I put in my BVB CD and we sang along for the 30 minute trip to the venue. After half an hour of impatience we arrived at our destination. We hurriedly got out and made our way to backstage. We showed our passes to security and practically ran in.

I looked around for Ashley; I have always loved him. I know there’s an 11 year age difference but I really don’t care. Zack went straight over to Jake, Jinxx and CC. Ashley and Andy walked out of dressing room and I couldn’t help but fan-girl. I walked over, awkwardly might I add, and introduced myself to my Saviours. Yes, pun intended.

‘H-hi, I’m C-Carolyn…’ I somehow spoke.

‘Hey, nice to meet you. I’m guessing you know who we are?’ Andy said shaking my hand. I nodded and blush when I saw that Ashley was eyeing me and smirking. Andy noticed and nudged him.

‘What?’ Ashley turned to Andy. Andy gave him a look and he pouted.

‘Black Veil Brides on in 5 minutes!’ their manager called.

‘Well, we better go. See you after?’ Ashley asked as they walked off. I nodded and waved as he smiled. Oh, that smile. Zach and I watched from side-stage.

Ashley pulled me on stage during their last song ‘Rebel Love Song’. I blushed but rocked out on stage as best I could. This was amazing. I looked towards Zach who was cheering me on and beamed. I haven’t been this happy or excited for years.

I quickly ran back to Zach at the end of the song, screaming.

‘Ohmygod! That was AMAZING!’ I basically jumped on Zach hugging him. I let go when I heard chuckling behind me. I looked back to see BVB along with the guys from Get Scared. I tried to fix my makeup that was probably smeared from when I cried during ‘Saviour’.

I turned back to everyone to be engulfed in a hug from Ashley. I was shocked but hugged him back. I saw a flash from the corner of my eye and my head snapped up to glare at my best friend who was holding his phone. I tried to let go of Ashley but he held on.

‘Come with me,’ he whispered into my ear and walked away casually. I stood there for a minute before following. Andy, Jake and CC were sniggering, Jinxx just shook his head smiling and Zach looked confused. I eventually caught up to him and he smirked at me again. I think I know what he has in mind considering his reputation. I mean, I’m flattered but me? Really? He lead me to the BVB tour bus…of course.

He opened the door and stepped aside to let me on first. I stepped on hesitantly as he followed. I heard the door shut and lock. I turned to face Ashley who pushed me against the wall and kissed me. Ohmygod…Ashley Purdy is kissing me…ASHLEY PURDY. I kissed back, still shocked.

I could feel him smirk against the kiss. Picking me up, he lays me on the couch and deepens the kiss. I wrap my arms around his neck as he starts to unzip my jacket. Finally, reality hit me, and I pushed him away making him frown.

‘What?’ he asked looking a little disappointed.

‘I-I can’t…I just can’t,’ I struggled to get out of his grip but he holds me in place.

‘Why-oh, um…is this your first time?’ I nodded sheepishly.

‘You were actually my first kiss too…’I trailed off feeling a bit embarrassed. I’m 20 years old and just had my first kiss. He raised an eyebrow at me.

‘Really?’ I nodded again.

‘No one really liked me at school…I mean I was always just the ugly emo kid…’ Ashley looked kind of shocked.

‘How? You’re beautiful and you have an amazing personality. How could anyone hate you?’ I blushed at his compliment.

‘I don’t know. I was different; I let it get to me. I nearly got expelled because I knocked out one of the guys,’ I said rolling my eyes at the memory. Ashley sighed.

‘Don’t listen to them. You’re an amazing person. Look, why don’t you come on tour with us? Come on, it’ll be fun,’ he suggested. I thought about it for a minute.

‘Only if Zach can come,’ I said, leaving no room for arguments. He sighed.

‘Deal,’ he got off me and we walked back inside the venue. I’m in for an adventure…
