𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗲! 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁

"You turned my brother into a serial killer."  Athena whispered, breaking the silence that had formed making Nick let out a breath he didn't know he'd been holding.

"Athena..." He whispered, taking a step toward her only for her to shoot him a glare.

"No it's my turn to speak now." She spat, "You hurt me in many ways that night." Athena began, she stabbed Nick in the stomach causing his eyes to widen in shock. She slowly removed the knife causing more pain. Nick clutched his stomach in shock, tears falling down his face as he stared at his wife.

"Athena..." He whispered, glancing down at his blood stained hands.

"You took away Quinn and Rory. You caused their parents pain. You took away Cindy from Ziggy, causing her a lot of pain too. You took away those people from me too, causing me pain just like you wanted."

Nick shook his head, "No, no...I never wanted you to be in pain." He began to sob, "Athena Pleas-"

"But now, you're gonna have some pain." Athena declared, she grabbed Nick's handing shoving it into the blob. She staggered backwards as Nick froze, his eyes widening as he stood up looking around.

Athena dropped the knife she had been holding as Nick began to spin around. He looked awe struck as he faced all the people that his family had turned into killers over the years. Deena appeared from out of the shadows, and she picked up the knife that had been dropped to the ground.

Nick spun towards Deena, reaching out his arms to attempt to choke her. Deena raised the knife, stabbing him in the eye, his body dropped the floor.

Athena looked pale as she stared down at her husband's body that was still twitching. She held onto the wall for support, feeling bile rising in her throat.

Deena glanced over to the woman that looked like she was about to throw up at any moment.

"Athena?" Valerie asked as she ran up to the two, she came to a halt as she noticed Nick's body on the ground. "Oh- shit! Wait, we did it!"

"We did." Deena nodded, shocked as they had finally defeated the evil that had gripped Shadyside for so long.

"Sam." Deena gasped and she rushed to her side to check it she was okay.

"It's over." Valerie smiled and Athena pulled the eighteen year old into a hug. Valerie frowned at older woman as she was shaking, "Athena..." She whispered, and Athena began to sob.

"It's okay." Valerie spoke, as the woman continued to sob into her neck.

"He was a monster." She cried, "I married a god damn monster. A monster that made my brother into a serial killer. That ruined so many people's lives."

Valerie shook her head, pulling away from the woman. "You didn't know, Athena. How could you have known? You loved him. He was the love of your life, everyone gets blinded by love."

Athena let out another sob, burying her head in her hands as Deena held onto Sam.

"We need to get out of here." Deena declared and Valerie nodded in agreement. She softly grabbed Athena's hands and they all walked out of the cave together.

Okay so originally I wrote that Nick wasn't the killer and it turned out to be Will instead (Nick's brother) but then I was like nah...actually...let's just make it Nick. It's been three years since I last touched this book and I was like no actually I should've just kept it the same as the movie
