The Wiggles were in their recording studio.

"So. I've had an idea for this character" said Murray.

"Tell us about it" said Greg.

Murray explained his idea and gave the other three his song lyrics.

"Wow! But you didn't write a melody" said Jeff.

"No matter. They seem to go great with the melody of one of my brother's songs" said Anthony.

"A song you have in the Cockroaches?" said Greg.

"Yeah. I'll ask him if we can adapt these lyrics into it" said Anthony.

"Thanks, Anthony" said Murray.

The four teens were walking home from school the next day.

They heard cheering in the background.

"What's going on over there?" said Spencer.

"Let's see" said Bethany.

They entered the park and there was a stage there. And the Wiggles were on it.

"They're even performing live. They're cooler than I thought" said Bethany.

"And those outfits they got going on!" said Fridge.

The Wiggles were wearing bright colored and busy patterned shirts.

But only three of them were visible on stage.

"Where's Murray?" said Martha.

"Why do you wonder that? I thought you were afraid of that guy" said Fridge.

"I was. But he visited me last night and I got to know him more. He seems... nice really" said Martha.

"Good to know" said Spencer.

Just then, a costumed actor as a dinosaur came onto the stage and danced.

"Here's a story of a not-so-scary dinosaur named Dorothy" said Anthony.

Greg sang the song.

The song was Murray's lyrics that he brought in and the old Cockroaches song melody.

I was looking out my window late the other night

She was sitting in the garden and gave me such a fright

Eating all Mum's roses there in the moonlight

It was Dorothy the Dinosaur

I knew that if Mum saw her, she'd never let her stay

A dinosaur that's big is that it's feeding night and day

I'd have to find a place where I could hide her away

Dorothy the Dinosaur

All: Romp Bomp a Chomp, Romp Bomp a Chomp

Romp Bomp a Chomp, Romp Bomp a Chomp

Romp Bomp a Chomp, Romp Bomp a Chomp

Dorothy: Ooh, roses! I like it here!

Greg: Dorothy the Dinosaur

All: Chomp!

Greg: I knew that she was so big that she'd soon be found

My mother called the dogcatcher; he came around

When he laid his eyes on her, he fell to the ground

Jeff: Now I take it, that's Dorothy the Dinosaur!

All: Romp Bomp a Chomp, Romp Bomp a Chomp

Romp Bomp a Chomp, Romp Bomp a Chomp

Romp Bomp a Chomp, Romp Bomp a Chomp

Dorothy: I'm hungry. Do you think I could try some roses in the backyard now?

Do you think I could get some roses in the back garden now?

Greg: Dorothy the Dinosaur

Kids: Chomp!

Greg: They called up the police to take her right away

They called up the zoo to find a place to stay

I said they couldn't take her, I said "No way,

That's Dorothy the Dinosaur!"

All: Romp Bomp a Chomp, Romp Bomp a Chomp

Romp Bomp a Chomp, Romp Bomp a Chomp

Romp Bomp a Chomp, Romp Bomp a Chomp

Dorothy: Ooh, these roses sure are good.

Greg: Dorothy the Dinosaur

All: Chomp

All: Romp Bomp a Chomp, Romp Bomp a Chomp

Dorothy: Oh, my stomach hurts! But I'm still hungry

Romp Bomp a Chomp, Romp Bomp a Chomp

Romp Bomp a Chomp, Romp Bomp a Chomp

Greg: Dorothy the Dinosaur

All: Chomp!

This is the original Dorothy the Dinosaur music video.

And, yes, the part where the lyrics go with a Cockroaches melody is true.

They literally changed the lyrics to an old Cockroaches song and made it into the Dorothy song.

We see this in the Wiggles' documentary "Everybody Clap, Everybody Sing!".
