Kelly and Max: The Run Aways

Ch 2.

       As I walk through the hallways, I hear someone calling my name. I turn around to see a familiar face. "Princess Kelly" Max says in a frantic voice. "Oh hello, prince Max," I say while I curtsy. I was surprised to see him so soon. He probably wandered off while no one was looking, that sounds like him. " PRINCE MAX" neonna screamed. She honestly scared me, she doesn't yell like this often. "Y'know you aren't supposed to see nor talk to kelly till the ball" neonna said.

"C'mon, I just wanted to say hello" he said in a flirty voice.

At least I know he is still into me. That is very reassuring, at least I don't have to worry about him". As the two bicker, I start walking away. Neonna noticed and followed while she was still arguing with prince Max. "Kelly," Max said. I turn around and then he winks at me. I rolled my eyes in response. I continue to walk towards the ball room, the feeling in my stomach gets stronger and stronger....

Max's pov:

As I walked away after teasing Kelly, my thoughts about her collided. She's always been easy to tease, especially her "feelings" towards me". Honestly I think she's pretending to like me though. I hate forced marriages, it's always whether you like them or completely hate them. Either way you're stuck. Especially Kelly, she was born to be married off to the rich or stop the war. I always felt bad for her, she doesn't even get to pick her lover and her parents are so strict. I actually can call off these engagements, my dad asks me all the time if I still want to do this. I always say yes because I actually like her. Even if she doesn't have feelings for me, I still wanna save her from her parents.

I wandered off into a garden when I heard my sister calling my name. "Brother, it's time for the ball. Lets gooo!!" seanna said.

"Okay okay" I said running after her.

As I walked in, I snuck over to my seat without anyone noticing. After a few minutes, that's when a dude started speaking, it was a boring speech. Mine and Kelly's dad had to go up and speak about me and kelly. My god, their speech was embarrassing. It was finally time to waltz. I went over to Kelly and offered my hand, waiting for her hand in return. She grabbed my hand, and I pulled her in close by accident. Everyone looked at me in shock, that was the biggest mistake I could have made. Luckily she turned towards me and mouthed spin me, I did as she told and it honestly looked like a dance move. So everyone was at ease, thankfully. We continued to dance until we heard a crash. I looked around and saw mine and Kelly's dad fighting and they were using magic. We had to get out of here. I looked towards Kelly and she was freaking out, she looked terrified. I saw neonna run away and soon she realized that kelly didn't follow her....
