As we arrived in town, we heard everyone screaming to hurry and find the princess. We finally got to Lia's father's place. We walked up the gravel and dirt road, only to find lia's father screaming.
" KAIN, WHY ARE YOU OUT HERE. YOU SHOULD BE LOOKING FOR THE LOST PRINCESS." he said
" I know but I can't do anything with my daughter home alone and if I find out you leave her alone and go looking for the princess. I will personally escort you back here, and punish you. Understood?" i said in a fern voice
"Y-yes" he said
I gave him the bag and gave Lia a hug and left. I went back to town to buy groceries. And everyone was talking about it. Everyone is panicking over Kelly being pregnant and gone. That is a scary thought though. A young pregnant woman missing/running away. To be honest if i wasn't outside to catch them, i would also be worried sick.
"Kia" someone yelled
"Oh hello alavan" i said
" Glad I stopped you, let's go and have some tea. I have some news." she said
We started to sit down at the nearest tea shop. I started ordering the usual
" As you know the princess and prince are missing. Princess Kelly is 7 months pregnant, she's expecting soon. Apparently king preg was gonna send princess kelly and prince max to the camp. They hadn't done anything according to the maids, they said they followed all the rules set by the king and queen. Apparently the queen tried to stop the king and got severely hurt. The maids said she put up a fight for her daughter. They said it was the first time they'd ever seen her do such things, they don't even know if she's gonna live or not." she said
"Wait what,you have to be kidding. I would have never thought the king would hurt the queen." i said
" You're right, we all thought that. Apparently she said she regretted marrying him and that she never loved him."
" oh my" i said
" i know right" she said
We started talking for another 30 mins, but I had to get going. As we left the tea shop, we said our farewells. I went around and shopped for some more stuff and then I had to leave. I walked the path like usual but there were torches everywhere, there were townspeople looking for them still. I walked up to my house and saw the guards waiting outside.
" hello, how can i help you" i said
" sorry ma'am but we came to ask if you have seen the princess and prince, but no one answered and so we stayed till someone came home"
"Oh i am so sorry, i was out shopping but no i haven't seen them come through.i have only seen the towns folk searching." i said
"Oh ok, it's probably better if they don't come back to be honest." the said
"W-what do you mean by that?" i said
" don't tell anyone we said this but the king is furious. His own wife is locked up, getting barely any medical attention to her wounds. Princess Kelly is pregnant and if she's gonna get locked up too, then it's best if she doesn't come home till that baby is born." they said
"Oh my" i said in shock
"You should get inside, it's getting dark" they said
I went in without even saying goodbye.
"I'm back" I said as I walked in.
I see Kelly fast asleep, she still doesn't look good. I should make her some medicine.
"It's a sickness for pregnant women" max said
" oh my, you startled me, oh don't let the doctor fool you. I'll make her something for her morning sickness. I have given birth to 3 and they all said the same thing." i said
" 3?" max questioned
"Yes 3, about to be 4. The other two passed away at a young age. They were murdered by their step-father.the other one is with lia's father. It's a shame really, my children are my pride and joy. I miss both of them."
"Sorry to hear, that's what scares me about my child" kelly said in a tired voice
"Good afternoon hun, don't be scared for your child. I know for a fact you guys will protect her no matter what." i said
" May I help cook supper?" kelly said
"Yes, but if you feel sick. Let me know ok."
"Yes ma'am.
We started to cook supper, we had steak with a side of potatoes.
" im sorry, it's not much" i said
" Oh please, this is plenty. This is more than what they gave us at the castle"max said
" They didn't feed you guys?"
" they do but it was whatever was left after the queen and king" max said
"Oh my!!"
I was shocked, Kelly is a pregnant woman. She needs nutrients and vitamins. I have made a decision, a huge decision.
"I have made a decision, I want you guys to live with me till you are ready to face your father or go to the demon castle but that'll be after you give birth. Also I want to move further away from the town." i said
" That's a huge commitment." kelly said
" I've been wanting to move but i don't wanna move alone without any adults. I sound like a child but moving to a new house as a single mother is scary. If you guys stay, I can provide everything for all of us. I can buy diapers, baby products, and so for. Since I'm pregnant myself, no one will be suspicious."
" We'll move with you, we can help around and do farm work to have an income for the house." kelly and max said
I started crying, I am so thankful for these people. I can't wait to tell Lia, she's gonna be so happy. I'll announce tomorrow that I have decided to move out further.
"Thank you" I said while crying.
