Kelly and Max: The Run Aways

ch 15.

  Me and Kelly started running for our lives. We ran for a very long time, till we could no longer feel his power. I'm pretty sure we ran about 2 miles before we stopped.

" Are you guys ok? We felt his power from here." a mother said

" yes we are thank yo-

" my princess you are pregnant, my goodness and you ran all this way here. You must be tired. Please come inside and rest." the woman said

"Thank you for offering, my wife should rest after that run." i said

We started to walk in and we saw the little girl that spoke up during our wedding, she was sleeping like a puppy. " Glad to see she's ok" I said to the mother.

" oh yea, i'm sorry about what she said, lia is a little bit of a blabbermouth. Also When did Kelly get pregnant? You guys just got married not that long ago."

" Oh her name is Lia, and she did what's right. Don't be sorry, she did what she thought was right. It also showed that so many people care for Kelly, so I'm proud of your daughter. And Kelly got pregnant a month before the wedding. It was an accident to be honest." i said

The question was quite rude to ask but that's ok.

"Oh, I can see why you guys haven't told anyone, that would be horrible if the public found out." she said

"To be honest we wanted to tell y'all we were having a baby but Kelly's parents didn't want to be ashamed." i said

" oh my i've been blabbing off and hadn't said my name, I'm kain. Yea her father has always been horrible to us people. Synx was the best queen around, we thought she would be his savior but I guess no one can save him. We also thought kelly would change him, every man changes when their first daughter is born but nothing can change that man. We lost hope for our king, then we lost hope for our queen after she abandoned Kelly, we had no hope for the princess."

She was so into the story I wanted to hear more.

" I forgot that two negatives equal a positive. She has always been so kind to everyone she meets, her parents would frequently kick her out of the castle for child behavior. So we all got to watch and take care of her when those times came. She showed us what queen she wants to be. It was great to watch her grow into a kind woman. You are very lucky y'know." kain said

" I know I am, I barely got to see her growing up but I always knew I would never back down from marrying her. And I'm glad she's carrying my child." I said while smiling.

We ended up chatting for a few hours before we heard a knock at her door.

*hide* she whispered.

As I hid behind some couches she opened the door.

Kain pov:

As I made sure prince max hid well, i went over to the door and opened to see two guards.

" Oh hello, how can I help you tonight?" I said.

"Sorry to bother you so late, miss. I bet lia is in bed already, I hope we hadn't woken her. But we are searching for the prince and princess. They ran away in fear of the king's rage fit . And we have to ask if anyone knows where they are." the guards said

" I haven't seen them since the wedding ceremony, I am sorry I can't be of help." i said

" If you see them please let us know. Once again sorry for bothering you so late." they said.

" I will, good night" I said while closing the door.

" You can stay here for the next 2 days, they will have search parties big and small, I'm guessing they'll even have the villagers look as well. The people will look for their lost princess, I hope you know that. I'll talk to you more about it tomorrow. For now, get some rest." i said

Max started to make a bed on the couch, while I got everything ready for the next few days.

The next day-

As I woke up, I looked around to make sure everyone was ok and made sure all the curtains and doors were still closed.

I started to do my morning routines. I fed the animals and made breakfast for everyone.

That's when Kelly started to wake up.

" You should've woken me up, I would have helped with your morning chores." she said.

" I know dear but you're pregnant and I don't want you to move that much after a run like that. From the looks of it you're about to pop. you should still be bed ridden." i said

Goodness she needs to learn to be selfish. She looks awful and she still wants to be up and around and still help people.

" I guess you're right, haha I feel awful. I dunno why I even thought I could get up and help. Goodness." she started laughing

Watching her laugh felt great, thank god she's alright.

"Momma, why is the princess here?" lia said

" Good morning sweetie, go do your chores and then I will explain everything ok?"

As Lia did her morning chores, I finished making breakfast and started serving at the table.

We all sat down and waited for one another to fully sit.

"Lia, don't tell anyone that you have the prince and princess here understood?"

"Yes, momma" lia said

"We are helping them run away from the mean king. No one can know that they're here."

"Oh okie, so it's a spy mission?" lia said

" Yes, now eat your food. You have to go to your fathers."

We all finished eating and Lia got ready to go stay with her father for the weekend. I helped her pack her bag with clothes and activities. As we started to head out, Lia gave princess Kelly and prince Max a huge hug.

" I will collect as much info as I can. Please sit here and don't answer the door."

"Okie, thank you" kelly said

I looked at her and smiled as I left the door. When we started walking everyone was out looking for them, you could tell how worried they were.

"Kain!! Haven't you heard, the princess and prince are missing." a guy said

" I know, the guards came asking last night. I hope we find them and soon, it's almost winter."

"Goodness, I can't believe she would run away. The king said the princess is pregnant too."

"Oh my, well i must get going her father is waiting" i said

"Goodbye, I'll give you more updates later."

"Bye" i said
