I woke up the next morning to my phone ringing.

I slipped out from beneath Sam's arms, and grabbed it off the charger. I didn't need to look at the caller ID. It was either Nate or Gilinsky.

"Hello?"

"Hey. Did I wake you up?" Gilinsky asked.

"Yeah, kinda." I ran my hand through my hair, looking out the window.

"I'm sorry. But I have good news."

"What?"

"Johnson is probably going to wake up today." I could hear the grin in Gilinsky's voice.

"Seriously?!" I instantly began to grin. I heard Sam stir behind me, but I was too excited talking to Gilinsky.

"What time should I get over there?"

"How's eleven?"

I glanced at the clock. 10:04

"Sounds perfect."

"Okay. See you then." Gilinsky replied.

"Later." I hung up and did a little happy dance around the kitchen.

"What are you so happy about?" Sam asked from the couch, sounding sleepy.

"Johnson is probably waking up today!" I exclaimed happily.

I swear, I have never seen Sam move as fast as he did then.

"Are you serious?!"

Within what felt like milliseconds, Sam was standing in the doorway of the kitchen.

"I'm serious! Gilinsky just called me!"

"OHHHHH MYYYYYY GOOOOOOD!"

Me and Sam yelled happily for a minute, then I stopped him.

"We gotta get ready!"

"Crap!" Sam grabbed his back and went into the bathroom, while I raced upstairs to my room.

As I turned on my music and flipped through my hangers, I couldn't wipe the grin off of my face. My best friend was going to be okay!

"You almost ready?"

"Yeah, hang on!"

I set my brush down and looked at my outfit. Black Diamond Co hoodie, light denim shorts, and black adidas hi-tops.

I slid my phone into my back pocket and went down the stairs.

"Aw, you look cute."

"Shut up." I replied, my face heating up.

"Ready?"

I nodded, and grabbed my keys.

As we drove to the hospital, Sam was on the phone with Nate, his other hand on my knee. He kept sneaking glances at me, but I caught him every time.

"Okay. I know! Okay, I'll wait until we get there." Sam said. I heard Nate say my name, and looked at Sammy quizzically. He winked, and I faux-glared.

Him and Nate hung up right before we got there. I pulled the keys out of the ignition, but I didn't open my door right away.

"Okay, what are you planning?"

"Nothing! C'mon, let's go." Sam said insistently.

As we climbed out of the car, Sam picked me up from behind and spun me around.

"Sam!"

"What?" He asked innocently, his eyes nearly giving me chills.

"Put me down, weirdo."

"Okay." He fake-pouted, then set me down.

"How about this?"

Before he could answer, I placed my hands on his shoulders and jumped onto his back.

"This works." He replied, looping his arms under my legs to keep me up. I loosely put my arms around his shoulders.

"Can you tell me what you and Nate were talking about now?"

"Nope."

"Whhhyyyyyy?"

"Because."

"Fine."

We got there, and once we got to Johnson's floor, a gigantic grin filled my face.

Sam set me down, and I was frozen in my spot.

"Hey Aria." Jack smiled at me, his blue eyes shining.

I didn't say anything. Just hugged him tightly.

"You're okay." I whispered.

"I'm okay." He replied, swaying me back and forth.

"Is this what you guys were planning?" I asked after me and Johnson pulled away.

"Yeah." Nate grinned at me.

"What should we do? We gotta do something, now that I'm actually awake." Johnson said, looking around at us.

"We should drive to the Hollywood sign." Gilinsky replied.

"Yes."
