"Aria?"

Nate came over to me.

I just drew my knees to my chest, forcing myself not to cry in front of the boys.

"Woah, what happened?" He asked me, kneeling down to where I was.

I couldn't speak. If I did, I would just break down.

"I-I-I..."

No
Not now
No

I felt my sadness turn into fear, then just straight anxiety.

Everything around me sounded like I was underwater.

I scooted back against a rock and looked around, terrified.

My vision was blurry around the edges.

I saw Nate close to my face, saying something. I couldn't understand him.

Three figures ran towards me, and one appeared in front of me. It was Sam.

I was shaking with fear. I knew I was crying now, and tried to wipe my face.

The guys soon gave up on trying to talk to me. Sam put his arms around me and just let me cry. There was no use in fighting it. It would just make it worse.

After almost an hour, I calmed down.

"Wha-"

"Dude, don't ask her about it. It's just gonna make it worse." Johnson cut Sammy off, and I shot him a grateful look.

"C-can we leave?" I asked, my voice barely audible.

"Of course." Gilinsky replied, beginning to gather up the stuff.

He dropped Johnson and Nate off first, leaving me and Sam.

He looked at both of us, probably wondering whether to go to Sam's or not.

Sam looked at me, his eyebrows raised in question.

"My place." I nodded.

I was nervous to face my mom. She rarely cries or shows any emotion other then anger and annoyance.

I walked in and saw her resting on her elbows on the counter, a tissue in her hand.

"Mom?"

"Aria!"

She came over to me and hugged me tightly, and I gladly hugged back.

We pulled apart, then she moved to Sam.

"Hi Sammy."

"Hey Ms.Stone." He said, hugging her.

It made me happy that my mom like Sam. If she didn't, I would never hear the end of it.
