"Munchie"
SLAP*"Yo wtf"
"Watch ya mouth !" my ma said... I don't know why she stay acting like she never heard me curse before.
"My bad but you should tell your son to keep his hands to himself" I said as I noticed my little brother Alex and my father were no longer in the car.
"I ain't telling him shit we been tryna wake you up to let you know we got here for 20 minutes" she said.
oh but I cant curse. HYPOCRITE
"any bags I gotta take ?" I asked
"naw just go its the first building to your left, your father should be in the lobby" she said
I got out and made my way down the street. I missed being here, we had left when I was 12 because my ma wanted us to be raised in "a safer environment" but we ended up coming back to be closer to family and honestly it was too boring down in Virginia for us. There's no place like homeee.
I made my way into the building, it was pretty nice definitely an upgrade from the last apartment complex we previously lived in up here. I had to get used to it again though.
I saw my father and made my way over to him. Then I stood there awkwardly next to him. 🧍🏽♀️
"You standing there like a damn statue" he said and then busted out laughing.
I rolled my eyes and looked at my phone because what else was I supposed to do. My parents stay cracking jokes knowing I have anxiety and it makes me socially awkward like a mf. It's only to strangers though, to everyone else I'm a bigmouth.
"You can go upstairs... Alex already up there. Go to the 10th floor and it's apt 10A"
I walked to the elevator, got in and pressed 10.
"Hold it, Hold it" I heard and I quickly pressed the door open button.
A brownskin boy walked with dreads walked in and I eyed him before quickly putting my attention on settings in my phone.
"thank you" I heard and assumed it came from him for me holding the elevator
Duh who else it would've came from, Casper ?
