"I'm sorry." He said and I didn't want his pity. I told him not pity me. "I'm sorry for making you cry yourself to sleep, I'm so sorry, Kayleigh. I didn't mean to hurt you."
"The past is the past, you can't change it, so why have regrets? What's done is done." I said and he nodded. "I mean obviously, there is always going to be things where you say 'Oh, I wish I did this or I wish I didn't do that.' But if you keep on thinking in the past you'll never see what's to hold in the future."
"Keep on smiling, things will only get better." He said and smiled at me.
"What if I die tomorrow? How would that be getting better?" I laughed.
"You've got to think positive." He said and I nodded. "I'm grateful that you told me what happened. Please don't say any of this is your fault."
"I don't want to talk about it anymore." I said and he nodded. He then answered the phone and he had to leave because Rachel wanted him home. Not like I was bothered, they where dating and I didn't want to take up all his time with my problems when he most likely had his own.
I heard the door shut. I got out my seat and went to the letters I had received today. Bills, bills, avon, free coupons, letter from Zach. I smiled and dropped the others letters and opened it. He written about how he missed waking up next to me and how much he misses me and that it's a sort letter because he has to go. I miss him.

It had been three days since I saw the outside world, three days since I saw another human being. God, life is so lonely. I quickly got dressed and went out, I got into my car and drove to the nearest coffee shop. I parked up and walked in. I ordered my coffee and they told me to sit and they'll bring it over.
I sat down and looked out the window. I saw my mum with lots of people, she was just shouting. I quickly ran outside and over to her, I tried yanking her arm but she starting shouting at me. She pushed me to the ground and then looked at me again.
"Baby girl, I'm so sorry." She said and helped me up. I hugged her, it'd been the first time she had remembered me in a year. Yes, she smelt pretty bad but I was going to help her. She's my mum and she needs saving from this black hole she's sinking in and can't seem to get out of it.
"Come back to mine." I said and she shook her head.
"You don't want me to." She said with a frown.
"I wouldn't say it, if I didn't mean it. Please, come back." I said and she did, she followed me out to the car.
"I'm sorry I turned out like this." She said and I looked at her before I turned on the engine. Her hair was like a birds nest, she had stained teeth, but one thing that stuck out most to me was her smile. The same smile that used to tuck me into bed, the same smile that used to make me smile, her beautiful smile.
"I'll get you help." I said and she smiled again. "We'll be a family again." I turned on the engine and drove back to my house. I forgot about the coffee but that didn't matter.

"Right, so I just got off the phone and they said they have a place of you want it?" I said and she jumped up and smiled.
"Of course I want it." She said and I handed her some spare clothes I had. She put them in an Asda bag and I called her a cab. "Thank you."
"You're my mum, I'd give you the sun if I could." I said and she hugged me.
"Do you think Harry is ok?" She asked and my heart dropped at that name. My poor little Harry. "I need to pick him up from Playgroup."
My heart broke to the sound of my mum forgetting that her baby had been killed by that malicious man. "Mum," I say softly. "Harry isn't here anymore. He's with the other little angels." I said and she nods. "If you keep smiling, mum, so will Harry. He loves you." I say. Hoping that he was looking down, proud of us.
She hugged me and then the cab beeped, she walked out and said thank you. I told the cab driver to lock the doors and make sure he gets there. I also told the people there to give me a call when she arrives and they said they would do.
This is it, finally I'm going to have my mum back. I smiled and sat on the couch, I loved the fact that it didn't take much persuading to get her to go to rehab. She told me about the drugs and alcohol she's been living on the streets and she told me she didn't want that anymore. She wanted to be a mum again but she needed help and if she asked for help they would just look at her and say no. Talk about judging a book by it's cover.
a/n: Boring chapter and I didn't like it tbh.
I just want to tell you this now because I'm not sure if I'll talk about in the other chapters but.... This killing thing and alcohol problem didn't spring out of nowhere. I should've probably told you that her dad was an ex convict, he was done for attempted murder in the past, so one thing pissed him off, he'd just lose his self control and lash out as you already know. Also, her mother was an alcoholic in her teenage years, so it was easy to fall back into their old habits.
In no way am I saying that it was ok that he killed Harry, because killing is wrong and you shouldn't kill anyone... I mean... Unless you find it liberating... God knows why! Killing is bad and we shouldn't kill. So... Uhmm... Yeah..
It wasn't my original plan to kill any of the family members off, or have them go cracked. I was going to have them be a happy family, but who's family is literally that perfect? None? In each family you get; A screw up, An annoying idiot, One that gets everything and another that just doesn't even leave their room to socialise with their families. I'm sure there are more... I WANT TO POINT OUT THAT, WHAT HAPPENED WASN'T KAYLEIGH'S FAULT, THEY HAD OTHER ISSUES GOING ON AND THEY GOT TIRED. KAYLEIGH THINKS IT'S HER FAULT BECAUSE THE LAST ARGUMENT THEY HAD WAS ABOUT HER!
I will obviously bring the mum back when she is done with detox, so she can get all the alcohol out of her system and start to function like a real mum.. Only problem is I don't know what to do with her next.. Can you give me a few ideas?
Ok, this has been the longest note I've ever written and ermigod I bet you've just moved on to the next chapter! If you've read this to the end, thanks you.
