It was the end of summer, the warm heat of the sun turning cold with a fresh breeze, the long days starting to become short as the evening stars appeared earlier, the colour of the fresh green trees starting to turn yellow and the smell of fresh grass turning into nothing but cold wind.

Summer break was soon to end, school was about to start in a few weeks. Normally Estelle would be excited to go back to school, to be with her close friends and people she had known her entire life. But this year will be different.

Both her mother and father, Christina and Alf had gotten a new place to work and had to move, bringing her along. What she didn't understand was, why would they move so far away? Estelle found it strange that they would move to an island outside of Sweden, when they had lived in Norway most their life. Why? Because her aunt, father's sister wrote about how beautiful the place was. Still, Estelle was against it. But what choice did she have but to follow?

Christina had already signed her up for a new school, with horseback riding in one of their courses.Of course, Estelle didn't mind horses considering she loved them, but it didn't mean she was willing to trade her life, just to start over with new people and friends.

As days passed, the day came where it was time to move. They had sold everything they couldn't bring along and were now on the ferry to the island of Jorvik.

Estelle's face showed disapproval of this entire idea of moving. Wanting to return and have it back to normal. Crossed arms and with a sad face, did she sit on one of the benches. Looking out in the distant sea, feeling the wind intertwining with her hair.

Thinking all sorts of thoughts, why did they have to move? This was unfair, as she didn't get a say in it. They just straight up assumed that this was the best choice for her. How pathetic and selfish.

'' Estelle, lighten up. We are soon there, love. You get to live the dream life of many young people. You get to live on an island filled with horses, you get to meet new people, we get a bigger house and a more stable income. ''

Christina had noticed her daughter's sad face and tried to lighten things up. Sitting down next to her, while placing a soft hand upon Estelle's shoulder. Giving her a light smile.

Not that any of that made it feel better. Estelle's silence said it all. She was still not agreeing with the decision of moving.

'' We chose a decent house in one of the towns near your school. You get to ride your own horse to school, and you'll have a lot of freedom. Tomorrow we are taking you out so you can pick a horse to your liking. This was the best decision for us all, we didn't have a stable income in Norway. So when your father got the deal, I applied for a job in Jorvik as well, luckily it got approved. So please understand that this is the best choice for our family. ''
