Packed up her things, stacking the books and putting them into her small dirty green bag.
The ring of the bell blurred up and down the hallways and the students of every class stampeded out of the classrooms. It was the last day of school, making everyone run out to throw their school books into the trash bins and be done with this dusty school. Taylor was a little late compared to the rest of her classmates, placing her sketchbook in her bag before leaving. Ruby Tozier waited for her outside of her classroom, giving her brother a high five as he walked by to find his friends.
"God, you took forever," Ruby exasperated, when Taylor left the room, "How long does it take to pack a bag?"
"It was two minutes," the blonde replied. They went outside, behind the crowd, to not get trampled. The last day of school felt the best, knowing there was a summer that you use as a time to do stupid shit. "Where's your brother?"
"Off with his friends," Ruby answered, stepping over a kid's legs who was sitting against the wall, "Bill is having them go search for his brother."
"I feel bad for that kid," Taylor admitted, "Both of them." The duo fell silent as they passed Bowers and his gang.
"Think they'll sign my yearbook?" Ruby commented when they turned the corner.
"Yeah sure," Taylor replied as her friend dodged Greta Bowie coming in the opposite direction, "Dear Ruby, thanks for being as obnoxious and annoying as your brother, if not more. Have a happy summer."
"Oh sure," Ruby agreed, "I bet Bowers would sign your yearbook. Dear Taylor," She moved her hands out as if showing an example, "Thanks for being eye candy the whole year and wearing the exact same thing. Can't wait to fuck you like a honey badger."
"Ew!" Taylor exclaimed in an overdramatic way. That's how they joked: always in an over-dramatic sense and half the time not caring what they said. Ruby hopped onto Taylor's back and she held her legs.
"Let's go!" They headed out of the school down the back way.
