"If you ask me it wasn't a fair trial," she commented, unscrewing the end of her pen then screwing it back on.

"What?"

"Oh you know," she spoke to him as if they were old friends, "The trail on how you killed all those kids," it felt both unnatural and natural, "I mean there's no evidence pointing you to the other murders, just your dad's."

Henry's fist clenched when she mentioned his dad.

"He deserved it though," Taylor continued, speaking truthfully. "That man was an asshole." Henry slightly nodded in agreement.

"Bitch ass police officer too," Taylor had talked about this with Ruby before, I think it was something everyone could agree on, "Can't believe he could actually keep that job."

"That town was a joke," Henry responded quietly.

"Hell yeah, it was," she agreed to make a slight grin appear on his face, "I am so glad I moved away."

"Where did you go?"

"Moved in with the Tozier's, we all moved away," she made a circle motion with her hand on the table.

"You still hang out with them?" He wondered. It had been two years.

"Ruby is the greatest friend I ever had," she stated, no doubt in her voice, "First person to never make me feel ashamed for what I liked. And lately, she's been someone who actually makes my place on this planet feel valued."

Henry fell silent for a moment.

"Sounds like you two have quite the friendship.
