Chapter 3 (Awakening)

June 19th - Shibuya Crossing

You had all been investigating into the Mafia for the past few days, while the Phantom Thieves and Makoto all looked out trying to find how the Mafia gets new victims you decided to look over all of the known victims of the Mafia, trying to pry more information out of them. While everyone you interviewed was hesitant at first your reputation at school caused most of the students to come around, though you had to ensure them that the information you had discussed would only reach the ears of those you were investigating with. You found out just how bad most of these students had it... On average the students were in debt 500,000 yen each, and the Mafia were threatening them constantly. One student claimed that they actually paid up the debt, only for the Mafia to raise the debt again. 
You took notes and assigned each student a number, never using their real names. You wanted to ensure their identity remained secret. You showed your background research with the rest of your friends as to help them understand what these guys were doing. 
Though you received a message off Akira early the previous night, apparently the boss's name was Kaneshiro. There was gonna be a meeting after school, you said you were gonna be there. This asshole had to be taken down. 

You walked towards the group at the train station, they were on the Crossing where you had met before. Everyone seemed to notice you, except Ryuji and Ann. 

Ryuji - "We ain't got nothin'..."

Ann - "Are we out of luck...?"

Y/N - "So the situation is that bad?"

Arika - "We don't know how to reach the bank..."

Y/N - "Bank? What Bank?"

Ann - "What he means is the... Boss! Yeah the mob boss!"

Yusuke - "If only we could contact the real Kaneshiro..."

Y/N - "None of the students I talked to had his number, just his lackeys."

Shiho - "There has to be a way..."

Yusuke - "Indeed, but - Hm?"

Makoto - *Walks up to the group* 

Ann - "What do you want?"

Makoto - "Nothing in particular. I just saw you all together here."

Y/N - "You mean you followed me here?"

Makoto - "Well Akira doesn't want to cooperate with me-"

Y/N - "Because your being a unreasonable asshole."

Makoto - "What was that?"

Y/N - "You heard me."

Makoto - *Turning back to the group* "You seem to be having quite a bit of trouble."

Y/N - "We all just hit a bunch of dead ends. No one knows where Kaneshiro is."

Makoto - "Well... Should I just send this recording to the police now?"

Shiho - "... You know... You never get this involved in something unless it benefits you... Do you?"

Ann - "You maybe the student council president, but when it comes to what we do, you're useless."

Y/N - "Uhhh... Ann..."
