3RD PERSON POV
The two siblings released themselves from each other's hold. "This has officially been one hell of a week if you ask me..." Tony said wiping away tears from his face.
"Very much..." Emilia nodded.
He stared at her for a moment taking in the recurring fact that she was alive. He couldn't help but pull her back in for another hug.
Mia was startled by the comforting squeeze at first but regardless hugged him back. "I swear I'm not much of a hugger. Just making sure this is real," Tony mumbled.
"I can second that," Mia said as she returned the hug.
Eventually, they pulled away from the hug and Tony was the first to speak. "I'm sorry."
"Tony, you don't have to—" Tony cut Mia off and held her by her shoulders.
"No, No. I need to say this, I was a complete jackass back then. I was a terrible brother..."
This time Mia cut him off. "No, you weren't. You couldn't have known that this was going to happen, alright?"
"I can't help but...if I had just agreed to watch you none of this would have happened. All the shit they did to you." He thought back to all the reading he had done on Thea and all the pain she'd gone through. At the time he felt sorry for her but now he felt a bit distraught knowing that the same stranger was someone close to him.
"Don't blame yourself for something you had no part in. You didn't make me into this. The person who did is dead." She said before patting his shoulder.
Tony sighed before nodding. "Okay, I'll take your word for it..."
"Good—" Both of the siblings froze at the sound of approaching footsteps.
"Hey Tony, I'm about to—" Rhodey paused midsentence as he stared at the two who were staring back at him.
"What the hell is going on here?" Rhodey questions.
They looked at him and then at each other before Tony cleared his throat and looked at his friend. "I can explain..." Tony said as he approached him.
"Please do. Cause what's Thea doing here, man? Y'know if Ross catches her, it's over..." Rhodey says as Tony pulls him aside where he fills him in on the news.
Mia stood afar and acted as if she couldn't hear them.
"...Long story short she's my sister," Tony said.
"Is this a joke?" Rhodey mumbled glancing back at Mia who stood by the couch watching them as they spoke in a hushed tone.
"I know it sounds crazy but it's the truth," Tony said.
"Unbelievable. That's Emilia? She was used to like butterflies and now she's a...trained assassin that can take out a man with a spork? What type of shit is that?" Rhodey pointed out. Nearby, Emilia nodded to herself proudly at that statement.
Tony shrugged his shoulders. "Honestly, I wouldn't have guessed it either."
Rhodey didn't know what to say in this situation, he was honestly shocked but not surprised at the turn of events. "Alright, I'm happy that she's alive and you've reunited with your sister. But what about Ross?"
"What about him?" Tony asked.
"Right now Thea and the others are wanted fugitives of the U.S. government..." That fact had just occurred to him.
"I forgot about that," Tony mumbled.
"How?" Rhodey questioned.
"Okay, I need a plan but I gotta get her home..." The two walked back over to Emilia who watched them do so.
"This is so weird. I had a hunch that there was something about you but I thought it was ridiculous," Rhodey said feeling a bit amazed by the twist of events.
"Of all the surprises we've gotten, this is a good one." He could remember when he first met her and he was forced to attend her tea party. Where he had to fake drinking tea, talk to dolls, and wear a crown.
A memory he'd much rather forget.
"Okay, so we're gonna head out back and Friday should be parked there as soon as we arrive," Tony says hurriedly guiding Mia on the way. "Bye Rhodey!!"
"I'll talk to you later—oh, and welcome back," Rhodey called out seeing them scurry off.
He held a smile on his as he did but then it turned to a concerned but stressed look on his face. "There's two now...fantastic..."
