The night Liam was taken.

Jackson frowned, watching the once empty facility come to life. It hadn't been in use in at least a year. Why was it now up and running?

"Ethan...I don't like this. Somethings not right." He turned to look at his husband, grimacing as his mind ran through the possibilities.

Ethan nodded, peering over the wall to get a better look. "We shouldn't be interfering. We said we were gonna stay away from stuff like this."

Jackson sighed, resting his hand on Ethan's shoulder. "I know...but I can't explain this feeling. Something is really wrong...something-"

He paused, sucking in a breath as he watched an ambulance like vehicle drive up. It had the shape, but it was all black. That was definitely weird.

He felt his stomach churn and sniffed the air. He could almost make out something. Almost. "What are they up to?"

He moved from his place beside Ethan, getting a closer look as he furrowed his eyebrows.

He watched as a couple guys opened the back doors and pulled something out.

No, not something. Someone.

His breath hitched. "Ethan...thats...oh my god, that's Liam!"

The wiring of machines and the soft beeping of a monitor were the only sounds coming from the back room.

The werewolf inside was still unconscious, or mostly unconscious. Aware that he was awake, but completely under the effects of the wolfsbane running through his veins.

"I can't believe you shot him! What If you had hit something vital?" A lady in a black jacket was pacing, glaring at the man that had brought the werewolf in.

"I didn't though. He's fine." He leaned back casually against a table, eyeing the women indifferently.

She stopped, turning to face him fully now, her hands on her hips. She took a deep breath, wondering how on earth she got paired with this cocky asshole. "Fine? He could have lost the pup with all the stress you caused him. And if we lose that pup-"

She paused, taking a deep breath again and shaking her head. "I don't even want to think what the boss would do to us. Both him and the pup need to be healthy. Shot in two places forcing us to sedate him because he can't heal right now, doesn't really scream healthy to me."

Liam's eyes were half lidded as he slowly gained awareness of where he was. He could just make out the voices outside his door and grimaced.

He barely had the strength to do anything so he just laid there, still very confused and unsure of what was happening.

He felt sluggish. His head felt hazy. Things in the room were spinning, making him nauseated.

He groaned softly and closed his eyes back, trying to ignore the ache in his arm and leg.

What happened? Why aren't I healing?

It was all too much inside his brain, making his head throb. It wasn't too long before he felt himself slipping back into a senseless sleep.

He could still hear the people talking outside, but what they were saying made no sense. Whatever it was though, couldn't be good. Right?
