Perhaps this was just a bad day for Bruce
And so he hoped it to be
The day was nice, bright and warm with the sound of the ocean crashing to the very shores of which he is currently on. One could say that it was one wonderful day for a certain person
But this was far from what it seems to be
"My entire hut...." Bruce groaned to himself
"All gone!!"
He knelt down on the floor to pick up some of the woodchips that had been scrambled to the ground. The hut that he worked so hard to build for a week was just destroyed like that
As if it wasn't that hard already hiding himself from the Amazons marched up on the other side of the island.
Bruce, who was currently pondering to himself, had been living in the secluded island of Themyscira for almost a month now. His stay, on what he thought would just be a day or two turned out frisky in the end, hell, he never even expects to get out of the place
He survived, and that is important. Despite being a teenager, Bruce is tough on situations like this.
"My parents didn't raise a quitter." He muttered to himself as he picks up the vines from the ground
Suddenly, a feint laugh can be heard from nowhere. This caught his attention well as he found himself scanning the environment for company. He is adamant that his spot hasn't been found out yet by the Amazons, but the possibility is still there
The voice was high pitched, resembling a little girl's voice. It echoed through the empty shores which made it even more dangerous so. Someone might hear it and it would give out his location
He needed to find this source and neutralize it – immediately
His search didn't take too long however as the "source" that he was looking for was behind him all this time
"Uwa"
It was a little girl wearing a ridiculous, monster-like tiny outfit that covered her entire body but her face. She looked like some kind of a creature just standing there
"Uwa"
The girl cried, it was certainly a toddler who didn't seem to know a lot of words. Bruce figured that it probably came from the village, but got lost.
Suddenly, the little creature ran in circles to the shores while making loud noises
"Oh damn, I forgot to shut her up" Bruce pondered as he immediately apprehended the little girl
Without hesitation, he picked up the little thing and ran back to his base where what used to be his hut was before it was destroyed
Bruce notices something about the girl, in her outfit specifically. It had bits of woodchucks in her shoulder and chest and her headgear contained vines that originally belonged to his hut
It didn't take long for Bruce to decipher what was happening
"You destroyed my hut!?"
The little girl laughed joyously as she hopped up and down
"This is not a laughing matter!" Bruce grunted in annoyance
"Great, now I'm talking to a toddler who can barely speak, who also destroyed my small shelter. Now I'm officially homeless..." he thought to himself
He turns back to the girl who had a very wide smile on her face while looking at him.
"Well... at least I have company" he uttered to himself
