Bruce sulked, stuffed and moved. As if his small bed wasn't small enough, he had to be bothered – by yet another – distraction.
The surroundings outside was dark, and the crashing waves was heard. It was supposed to be a quiet and solemn evening, for what it should be. But somehow, a huge series of noises and yells was heard on the direction of the village
The young lad scratched his head, eager to know of a way to just have a nice sleep in this nice evening, but no, the odds would always contradict him. He needed to wake up early tomorrow as well, with the new invention that he is proud of. Bruce managed to create a fishing net that have a special bait that attracts the biggest fishes
It would've been a good start for the young lad, working and hustling to live on his own on an isolated island, but the problem is – he isn't alone
Bruce sighed, and scoffed. He tried to close his eyes but the loud noise resonated deep within. A small glimpse of dreamland is nothing but a phantasm at this point, and so he stood up
He came out his small hut to breathe some fresh air. The wonderful air never fails to soothe him from his worries, and anxiety of one day being found out and captured. There was a lot to live for, and Bruce knew he had to strive and grind in order to survive in this island
But for now, he wants to rest and sleep
Then again... he remembered his dilemma
Bruce groaned to himself upon the realization. He turned around, and when he did, a certain sight caught his attention
A certain girl sitting on the sand, near his hut. This girl was way too familiar for him not to recognize, in fact, she is the only girl Bruce is familiar of in this island, unless its her little baby sister ofcourse
"You're missing out on the fun."
Bruce spoke, which astonished the girl slightly. Despite her heightened senses, the lad managed to sneak up on her
"How on Hera's land do you that?" she asked
"Do what?"
"Sneaking up on me, I must say you've caught me quite flabbergasted even."
Bruce scoffed, as he sits next to her
"What are you doing here, Diana? It's late"
Diana looked at him with a leer of suspicion
"My presence is unfathomable, and should be out of your business. You're just an outsider, know you pla..."
"Okay okay... I've heard of this a million times already" Bruce interrupted as he stood up to his feet
Seeing this intrigued Diana, she wanted to ramble and rant, but her listener wasn't having it
"Where could you be off to?" she grunted
"I don't know, inside I guess" Bruce responded
"Wanna come in? it's cold in here."
Diana furrowed her eyebrows as she leered at him "Do give me one specific reason why I would come into your heathen shelter alone with you? Likely, you have something planned inside for me there that you might use against me"
Bruce scoffed, as he made his way inside of his hut. The noise had subsided somehow, and it was a perfect moment for him to just hit the hays and rest. But as he sat on his bed, a certain girl sitting outside afar from his hut caught his attention.
He couldn't help but worry, it was a cold night outside and she might catch a cold. Especially with nothing but her battle uniform. An inkling notion occurred to him in which he pretended to ignore, but deep inside, he knew he couldn't just let her be
