Chapter 14

Delilah POV

I couldn't believe it. I thought he loved me. He just told me he loved me. Like 3 hours ago.

But now, here I am. Seeing him make out with Megan. My boyfriend, John, making out with another girl. That's not me.

How did it end up like this ? Simple. It all started 8 hours ago.

8 HOURS AGO

"Hey babe." I smile at John's voice on the phone. He and Cece had to go away to Palm Springs for a family vacation for winter break. Coach was reluctant to let Cece go for a even a weekend, but he was okay with it. The night before they left though, things got a little.... heated between me and John.

He didn't want to leave either so he made sure to, "mark his territory" before he left. To make sure that I would know I was his. It's been two days and I'm still a little sore.

"Hey babe." I whisper back into my iPhone 6+. "I miss you like crazy baby. I've had to take like 7 cold showers today just thinking about you." He whispers into the phone. "I know babe, I miss you more." I giggle.

"Thank God we're leaving soon. I should be there by the time you get out of practice. I'll pick you up." "Okay baby. I gotta go. I have volleyball practice right before basketball practice." "Okay love, I'll see you later." "Okay, bye babe." I hang up and get dressed for practice. A muscle tee, my spandex shorts, sports bra and knee pads. I put on my elite socks so I won't have to change socks for basketball.

I place my basketball practice stuff in my sports bag and grab my Camaro keys.

When I get to the gym, only 3 girls are there. I check the clock and see that there's 15 minutes for practice to start. Everybody's supposed to be here with 15 minutes left to practice to be stretched out before coach gets here.

"Where is everybody ?" I ask while putting my stuff in my locker in the team room.

"Maybe they're too busy for practice." I hear Megan say. Ughh I forgot that she's on the JV team.

She wasn't good enough for varsity and coach was gonna cut her out of the program, but her mom payed the principal to put her in the JV team. She's that bad.

"Don't forget that I'm the captain of the volleyball program. I'll make you run until your legs give up." I say to her in a deathly voice.

She gulps and walks away. That's right little bitch.

30 minutes later, everybody's there with different excuses.

Coach gives me the look and I already know what she wants.

"Alright, before we set the net up. Everybody on the baseline." They all walk to the baseline, Megan slower shaking her hips showing off to the guys that always come to watch the girls. Of course, thinking we're interested. Which we're not, well I'm not. I have the best boyfriend in the world.

"Hurry up Megan. Stop trying to show off the ass you don't have!" I scream. She glares at me and jogs over to the line.

"When I walked into this gym, only 3 girls were in here. We have 24 players. I'm not gonna make you run 21 down and backs for the sake of time. So you'll do half today and half tomorrow. So 11 down and backs. Go !" I say and walk over to coach.

"Cece back yet ?" She asks while I take attendance. "Nope, unfortunately not. She'll be in practice tomorrow though." I say while making sure everybody does their running.

Megan tries to get away with 6 down and backs. "Since you want to cheat, hit the fence Megan and you still owe me 5 more down and backs." I walk over to the back door and open it. "Go. And sprint or else you'll have more." I scream after her.

After volleyball practice

"Hey bestie !!" I hear behind me. Turn around from putting my knee brace on and see Cece standing there ready for practice. "Best friend !!" I scream and run over to her and hug her tightly. She laughs and pulls away.

"Let's get to practice and make these bitches run." She says and I laugh. "Is John back yet ?" I ask hopefully. "Yeah, he's at your house with Tyler. Don't worry. He's still picking you up after." I smirk at her being stretching myself again. Volleyball got me worked up.

"How was practice with Queen Bitch ?" She asks while stretching out too. "Made her run almost 5 miles today." I mumble while stretching my back. "I hate her so much." She mumbles while helping me stretch my calves.

"They fucking burn. I did hot steps with varsity today." I mumble in pain.

"Rodrigues. Vasquez." Coach calls our last names. Hers is Rodrigues and mine Vasquez.

"Yes coach." We say at the same time. "Change of plans. No conditioning today. We're gonna practice dribbling, passing, shots and defense."

"Okay coach. We'll get everybody stretched out and ready to go." Cece says and we walk away.

After basketball practice

"Soooo, what's the plans with John ?" Cece asks after practice. "I don't know, honestly. what about you and Tyler."

She blushes and faces the floor. "He wants to take me out and have a fun night. Dancing and stuff." She says.

"Sounds fun." I say while looking through my text messages. I got one from John 20 minutes ago.

"In the parking lot, didn't want to to distract you from practice. I'll see you later 😘~ J 💕

Aww, he's so cute. I smile and bite my bottom lip. "Well then. Somebody's gotta go." Cece says and laughs. "Yep, I'll see you later bestie. Love you !!" I say while walking out. "Love you too !! You sex goddess !!" I hear her say while walking out.

I laugh and walk out to the parking lot. And that's when I see them making out. Well, Megan throwing herself on John.

"Megan get the fuck off of me ! I love my girlfriend !! Get the fuck away from me." I hear him say while pushing Megan away. "She can't give you what I can give you !"

"Actually I give him more than you can." I say casually. I just heard John say he loves me so I'm on cloud 9 right now. "Shit. Baby I'm sorry, I didn't kiss her back though I swear !" He says and walks over to me while wiping his mouth off.

"You love me ?" I ask him while Megan curses and walks off.

"Fuck yeah." He says and smashes his lips to mine.
