Chapter 16

Delilah POV

When I wake up in the morning, I feel sore and my legs are hurting. "Ughh." I mumble while stretching. "Don't leave me baby." John muttered while rubbing his groin against my ass. I realize we're still naked from last night and I blush remembering everything that happened.

"Baby I really gotta pee." I whisper in pain from my bladder. He let's go slowly and I rush into the bathroom and pee. I get a toothbrush from John's drawer and brush my teeth so he doesn't die from my morning breath.

When I walk back into his room, John is sitting up and running his forehead and hair. "Baby you have practice in an hour." He says and gets up stretching and yawning.

I groan inwardly and drop my head into my hands. I hear John groan and look up at him. "Don't just stand there all sexy and naked baby." He says and bites his bottom lip.

I smile at him and walk over straight into his arms. I look down and see he has his boxers back on. "I'll just skip practice today." I say with a yawn.

"Mmm okay, want another round baby..." John says and smirks. I laugh. "Maybe." I say with a grin. "Well too bad, John Jr. is sore and tired from his tight bestfriend." He says with a grin.

I laugh and playfully shove his chest. "You're so gross John!!" "Only for you baby, only for you." He says and leans in for a kiss. I push his lips away from mine and get up.

"Maybe I should go practice. Coach will chew my ass out if I don't." I say and begin getting dressed. "Okay. I'll drop you off on my way to your house. Tyler's gonna be all alone since Cece is going to practice." He says while getting up and stretching.

Watching his muscles and abs contract and release, I begin thinking that maybe I shouldn't go to practice. I could just stay here holed up with John and just get some all day. I shake my head to get those thoughts out of my head and continue getting dressed.

"I have to go home first to get my bag though. Wait.... Babe what day is it ?" I say confused. He checks his phone and his mouth drops open. "It's Monday !!" He screams and runs to the bathroom and turns the water on. "Wait, why are you stressing ? I'm the one that missed the whole morning of school." I say.

"I have a job interview. And here I am just stranding around with you when I might lose this opportunity." He says while jumping in the shower. Ouch, that one hurt. I walk to the bathroom and undress again and go inside the shower with him.

I start washing myself with him to save time. We both shower in silence and rushing.

I get out before him and grab a towel and walk to Cece's room to look for clothes. I choose her floral crop top and jeans with a cardigan around my waist. I grab her converse and run back to John's room.

I silently gasp when I see him putting boxers on. Damn. Looking away is hard right now. But I manage to and grab my dirty clothes and take them to Cece's dirty hamper.

"Are you ready to go ?" John asks when I walk back into his room. "You're the one in a rush." I say and walk downstairs to his car and wait for him.

He walks outside with a Manila folder and his keys. I open my own door and sit while gets inside and begins to drive towards school. "You can just drop me off at home. I can drive myself." I say, getting a little irritated.

"I already told you I'll drop you off." He says curtly. "John just take me home." I say. He exhales deeply through his nose and tightens his grip on the steering wheel. "Fine."

When he drops me off, I don't say anything and walk inside my house to Tyler making a smoothie. "Hey Lilah, aren't you supposed to be at school ?" He says when I close the door. "I woke up late and I still have practice today." I say and walk upstairs.

The tears come out of nowhere and I just collapse on my bed with a sob. Is John mad at me ? Why did he talk to me like that ?

All these questions swirling in my head as I wipe my face and pack my bag for my practices. I grab my keys and run to my car to at least make it to 6th period, the class I have my coach as my teacher. The class k enjoy the most, p.e.

I make it in time to grab some Carl's Jr food and to change.

"Hey bestfriend, where you been ?" Cece asks as I walk into the locker room with my food and keys in hand. "I woke up really late from your house and had to rush to get ready. And now John is mad at me." I say.

"Why ?" She says as I begin to change in front of her. This is the normal for us. "Because he has an interview today or whatever and he said that instead of standing around he should be there getting an opportunity... Something like that." I say. "Oh yeah, he told me about that. It's really big. He doesn't even need to go to college for it."

"What job is it ?" I say as we begin to walk to the gym. "You know the company Grey Industries ? Well the CEO needs a partner to take over when he goes on vacations with his wife and John managed to score an interview."

"But why would he aim so high ?" I wonder aloud. "He didn't tell you ?" Cece says surprised. "Nope."

"He wants a stable job because he feels like he's not good enough for you." She says softly. "That's absurd !!"

"It's just his way of proving himself to you."
