"No."
"Angeles, please." Levy begged, looking at him with wide eyes.
"Nope."
Makarov smiled at the two in amusement before speaking up. "If you do this job, I'll stamp your book for three weeks."
The man waved him off. "We all know that the book was never taken seriously anyways and that you all have no respect for my privacy."
There was a moment of silence before Levy tried again. "...Please?"
Angeles threw his hands up in exasperation. "Why me? Why can't you choose literally anyone else?"
The blue-haired girl brandished a list from her back pocket as if she had been anticipating that question. "Well," She pointed at the first tick mark. "Gray strips. A lot. Two, Natsu. Three-"
"You didn't say anything about Natsu."
"Shut up. Number three, Erza and Lucy are too well-known and I think Erza would actually eat the people alive."
"How do you know I won't?"
"You would but... Affectionately."
"Affec- Are you trying to persuade me or offend me?"
She held up the list again. "Number four-"
"There's more?"
"No but you won't shut up. Look, Angeles, I wouldn't be asking you if I had anyone else to go to."
"...Yes you would."
"Okay, yes, I would but come on! Why are you so against this?"
Before the green-eyed man could answer, Macao walked over and bravely draped an arm over his shoulder. "It's cause Angeles was one of the few that managed to skip secondary school and turn out alright. Now, you're trying to drag him back in."
Levy groaned loudly. "It's for a job! It's not like you actually have to be good in any of your classes."
"Oh, so you want me to be dumb?"
"Why are you purposely being difficult?"
"You want me to live in the dorms!"
Levy jabbed her finger at the flyer for the job laying innocently on the table. "It says undercover for a reason!"
"Levy, I just learned to tolerate that." Angeles gestured vaguely towards Team Natsu. "You can't just throw me in with a bunch of random people-"
"I can and I will! I already accepted the job."
The man crossed his arms and it wasn't lost on Macao that his friend didn't try and dislodge the fire-user's arm from around his shoulders. "Angeles, you don't have to go." He told the man, squeezing his arm lightly.
"Good."
"But-"
"Oh, God-"
"Just imagine who Levy would send in your place?" Macao leaned towards him and whispered. "What if it's Jet and Droy?" He felt his friend tense and grinned. "Well, I guess she could send Natsu in a disguise. I mean, she did say one didn't have to be good in their classes."
Angeles grimaced. "If people did figure out who he is, it would embarrass Fairy Tail if he really wasn't good at his classes."
"If?"
The man shrugged. "He has his moments where he's smart. I'm sure if I actually felt like it, I could find a subject he actually likes."
"So you'll do the job?" Levy smirked.
