"Hey, I'm going to go for a walk." Angeles wiped his eyes, giving Levy a small smile. "This- It's a little much."

"That's okay." She smiled at him, stepping back from the hug. "I'll get started on dinner before the Fantasia parade."

He nodded before walking out of her place, looking down at his hands. Had he really... Why would he do that? Why did he cry? Was he really so weak that such words could break him?

"You've gotten too close to them." A figure in a dark purple cloak decorated in gold jewels seemed to morph from the shadows, their large grin all that one could see from the hood. "I never told you to do that. Now look at you." They circled the man, bringing their hands up to caress his face, causing the mage to flinch away. "You're feeling so many emotions you don't understand. You turned me away before because that fairy was listening to our conversation but no one is here for you now. I let this go long enough but never forget who you belong to." They stood behind Angeles, covering his eyes with their gloved hands, their grin visible over his shoulder. "I made you, my puppet... And I can tear you apart."

The person laughed like they were told a good joke, a quiet giggle that seemed to echo in the darkness as he disappeared just as quickly as he appeared

The person laughed like they were told a good joke, a quiet giggle that seemed to echo in the darkness as he disappeared just as quickly as he appeared. They had Angeles right where they wanted him, always had and always will.

Angeles tilted his head with his eyes closed, listening for the figure. He curled one of his hands into a fist, his growing anger nearly palpable. "No one controls me- least of all him."

"Angeles? Are you okay?"

The man looked up to see Levy a few feet away from him looking concerned. He wondered how much she had seen. "Yeah, sorry. Can we stop at my place? I need to get a change of clothes and shit."

"Sure. I haven't started dinner yet, so it's not a problem." She accepted the change of subject easily, walking next to him. She couldn't stop the small glances, however, as she walked by his side. "You know, sometimes I wish you'd participate in the parade..."

He raised an eyebrow at her. "Why? You've never brought this up before."

Levy shrugged, swinging her arms by her sides. "I don't know, I just thought you wouldn't like me mentioning it."

Angeles was silent for a moment, seeming to be contemplating something. Before he could speak, however, someone bumped into the two, spilling their drink all over them.

"Oh, my god!" The lady exclaimed, her hands hovering in the air as she viewed the mess she made. "I'm so sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going!"

"It's okay!" Levy smiled, easing the woman's worry as she laughed. "We should have been paying attention as well."

Angeles tilted his head. "Yes, we will be careful next time. Come on, Levy, we're near my place. Have a nice day, ma'am."

"Such a polite young man. You two travel safe, okay?"
