I was adjusting well to human life. I was given a backstory- I was Pepper's niece- and given a whole new life.
"I'm going to enroll you in school," Tony decided.
"But I already finished school," I replied, taking a bite of my apple.
"Yeah, well, on Earth 16-year-olds are still in school,"
"I don't have any records though, don't you need those?"
He slid me a folder filled with papers. I opened it skeptically and saw a birth certificate, social security number, and my proof of US citizenship.
"How did you get this?" I laughed, sliding it back to him.
He took the envelope and tossed it on the counter. Pepper yelled at him for it, but he ignored her.
"Slept with a government worker,"
"Tony Stark, I swear to god!" Pepper exclaimed.
"Kidding, kidding!" Tony yelled.
The elevator dinged and Peter Parker stepped out.
"Hey, Kaity!" Peter called.
I was walking up the stairs, but I turned around to go see him. I was used to his random visits by now.
"Hey, Pete!" Tony shouted from the kitchen.
"Hi, Mr. Stark!"
Tony met us in the living room.
"She's going to go to school with you tomorrow," Tony informed.
"Tomorrow?" We both exclaimed in unison.
"Yes,"
"Oh god, Peter come help me pick out what I'm going to wear!" I laughed, dragging him to my room with me.
We ran to my room. Peter sat down on my bed while I went to my closet.
"Is there anything I'm like not allowed to wear?" I asked as I searched.
"No, there's no dress code," He replied.
He babbled about Midtown Highschool. He talked about his friends, his teachers, and his classes. I knew that Tony would force me to be in every class with Peter-in case I needed supervision.
"Is it going to be cold tomorrow?" I asked.
"It's December in New York City, what do you think?" He laughed.
I concocted an outfit. For the pants, I went with a pair of ripped, light-wash jeans.
"Which one?" I debated.
I held up a flowery tank top with a light pink sweater and green cardigan.
"The first one," He decided.
"Yeah, that's what I was thinking,"
I threw the cardigan back into the closet and sat on the bed next to him.
"How long does school last?" I asked.
"8 hours, unless it's a half-day. We have one of those next Friday cuz it's Christmas break,"
"8 hours? On Asgard, it was 4!" I exclaimed.
"We get an hour for lunch!" He protested.
I threw my head back onto the mattress and groaned.
"I think I'd rather go face my mom," I mumbled.
"It's really not that bad, I can introduce you to my friends," He laughed.
