"Her energy levels are higher than I've ever seen... and you said she just transferred most of it away?" A man asked.
My head was pounding, and my eyelids were heavy. I saw feel the brightness of the light through my closed eyes.
"Is she gonna wake up?" Peter worried.
Somebody's fingers pushed my hair behind my ear.
"I don't know," The other man replied.
An object clattered to the ground.
"Damn it, Bruce!" Tony exclaimed.
"I'm sorry, Tony," Bruce sighed.
I tried to open my eyes again, but I had no strength.
The last time this happened was when I was very young. Thor had started a war with the Dark Elves, and he, Freyja, and Odin had injured and killed them. I'd secretly gone Svartalfheim and tried to make peace.
"Daughter of Freyja... you have nerve coming here," Malekith growled.
"I just want to help," I promised.
Malekith had stepped closer to me. I noticed a deep wound on his arm.
"Please, I'm not like my mother," I whispered.
I slowly brought my hand to the gash. He carefully watched me as I healed him.
"I have never understood why they choose to hurt people," I explained.
"You are different, Asgardian," Malekith murmured.
"Is there others?"
That day, I resurrected an army. The Dark Elves did not remember what happened, creating an alliance between the Elves and the Asgardians. Malekith dropped my unconscious body off at the Bifrost, where Heimdall took over. My family never knew how I got the Ether, but they did not challenge the peace offering.
"How's she doing?" Steve asked, yanking me from my memory.
"We're not sure," Bruce answered.
I was tired of being helpless. With all of the force in my body, I opened my eyes. Peter was sitting on a chair next to me, Tony and Steve were watching me from a distance, and Bruce was reading a machine.
"Where are we?" I whispered.
Peter's face lit up. My dad instantly rushed to my bedside.
"We're in the Avengers compound, sweetheart. This is Dr. Banner," He introduced.
"Hi," I replied.
Peter slipped his fingers into mine. I smiled, weakly.
"Has this happened before?" Tony asked.
"Yeah, right after Thor came to Earth the first time," I explained.
"What happened?"
"Thor started a war and I cleaned up an army,"
"Tony, let her rest," Bruce instructed.
"Fine, fine. I'll be back, sweetie. I have to tell Pep you're ok, she's freaking out," Tony sighed.
Steve followed him out.
"Rest, Kaity," Dr. Banner ordered. "Come on, Peter,"
"Can I please stay?" Peter pleaded.
Dr. Banner looked at me.
"I don't mind," I replied.
Banner nodded and left the room. I slowly moved my neck to get a better look at Peter.
