Blythe's P.O.V.

Finally I'm back to recording for Bette Noir. I've been reading a lot lately whenever Cadence is asleep and I recently got into a very good book called Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. It's been so inspirational to me that I actually wrote a song based from it. I'm in our little studio just finishing up the piano part. Levi came in to help me record while Chris had Cadence.

"Ready for the vocals, B?" Levi called through the sound booth mic.

I adjusted the lyric page on my music stand. I'm so paranoid I'll mess up so I have a little music stand in the studio for lyrics and I print out piano sheets for concerts just in case. "I'm all set."

"Okay. 3...2...go."

"Run around, Run around

The Old Man's Grave

Find the cairn, and the loop

Where the secrets remain

Through the loop, find the house

You have traveled thus far

Find the Spark, and the Bird

They'll know who you are

(Chorus) Save them all, set them free

From the one's with white eyes

With their horrific hollows be

They're a danger in disguise

Find the one, you can't see

And his friends, all to see

How fast one's life can change

Warn them of all evil's game

Save the Birds, seal the loop

The peculiars, will guide you

You are strong one and all

Trust yourselves, lest you fall

(Repeat Chorus)

House is gone, hope remains

Help the Spark, find her flames

You can see, what they can't

They need you, not the land

(Repeat Chorus)

Run around, run around

The Old Man's grave

Help the Bird, find her way

And her friends, that remain..."

I set the headphones on the mic after Levi stops the recording. I step out of the sound booth and hear crying, "Your baby's calling you, B." He smiles at me. I nod and walk out into the living room.

"How'd recording go?" Chris asks.

"Very...peculiar." I say, smirking. I pick up Cadence and start singing the new song to her.
