Forming a core

The three decided to set up their camp near the waterfall. Wei Ying was too exhausted to start his cultivation today so he postponed it to tomorrow. That night Wei Ying slept with a big smile and belly after eating the specially made fish by Lan Zhan.

The next morning after breakfast Wei Ying kissed his lover's cheeks and went towards the center of the waterfall. The place he settled for was not too deep nor shallow. After adjusting in a suitable position he started to calm his breathe. After his mind became steady and body started to relax, he took deep breaths and circulated the qi present in the surroundings. The qi was untamed due to the presence of the demonic energy in his body but Wei Ying tamed it to flow like a calm river. After several tries the qi started to form a small golden ball in the size of a marble in his diantian. Slowly but steadily the golden ball started to grow and finally it became the size a small orange. He then collected the qi flowing in his veins to strengthen the core. Due to his past experience this became an easy task for him.

From the outside it looked like Wei Ying was not having any trouble but Lan Zhan could clearly see the frown forming on Wei Ying's forehead. He was worried that Wei Ying will not succeed due to the presence of the demonic energy. It's not that he did not trust his love but he was will scared of the side effects the demonic energy could cause his love. It was only when Wei Ying looked at peace did Lan Zhan let go of his worries. It was almost noon when the water surrounding Wei Ying start to tremor forming a water cyclone around him. Xiao Lei panicked but when he saw that Lan Zhan was not rushing to save Wei Ying he understood that the latter was not in danger. Few more minutes passed and the water disturbances calmed down. The child seated in the center slowly opened his eyes and looked around to find someone.  Only when he saw the happy eyes of his lover did he smile at his success. He slowly got up and walked towards his lover. Lan Zhan noticed that his steps were shaky so he went to hold him. "I'm fine. " Wei Ying replied looking at his lover's worry filled face.

Lan Zhan stared at him for a while and then kissed his forehead when he saw that he was not lying. They slowly got out of the river and Wei Ying rested his head in Lan Zhan's shoulder. Even though he felt weak at the moment, he couldn't help but chuckle with happiness feeling the qi slowly reapair his body. He was sure that by the end of the day his exhaustion would vanish. He was tired after stopping the opposite forces from destroying his body. He had nearly failed when he finally gained control of the situation. The energies were still at odds with each other but he could only oppress them with his mental strength. Now his golden core had a blanket of demonic qi surrounding it. Fortunately, it did not seem to have any effect on his core's functioning.

Lan Zhan made Wei Ying sit down near the tree and brought him some congee to replenish his body. After Lan Zhan checked that his core was OK, he placed a futon and made Wei Ying take a nap. The question about the demonic qi surrounding the core was kept until Wei Ying woke up. While Wei Ying took a nap Lan Zhan got ready to make dinner. Xiao Lei helped him with the chores and the Two of them finished cooking before Wei Ying woke up.

When Wei Ying woke up it was already time for dinner.Xiao Lei saw that he was awake and called Lan Zhan for him. Wei Ying thanked him and then took the food Lan Zhan brought him. It was a simple but tasty dish. After they finished eating Lan Zhan wanted to go to the river to take a bath. Wei Ying had teased him saying that he wants to accompany him but surprisingly Lan Zhan played him instead dragging him towards the river. Wei Ying struggled to get out of Lan Zhan's grip but he became helpless when he noticed that be couldn't break free. He stopped struggling and walked with Lan Zhan. His body did not ache after waking up but he still let his lover tend it. It was a while before they came out of the river.

Lan Zhan and Wei Ying after drying their hair laid on the futon and slept. Maybe because of the tedious work that Wei Ying had performed today he fell asleep even though he had just taken a nap sometime ago. Lan Zhan too closed his eyes after finding that Wei Ying had fallen asleep. Xiao Lei saw them curl up and then walked towards his own futon. He had become accustomed after seeing them sleep together for a month. He was indeed shocked at first when he saw them kiss and hold each other to sleep and but he soon got over it. Even though he never expected them to be so affectionate it was non of his business that his masters kissed and slept together. He didn't know what to name their relationship as they were children but mature at the same time. Finally after some few day he gave up on thinking about it.
