As I was admiring the tall building before me, I heard a big crash behind me. There was a giant monster running through the streets.

I knew what I should do. What my parents wanted me to do. I turned myself into a grizzly bear and punched the monster in the shins. After successfully knocking it to the ground, I transformed into a crocodile, and bit it several times. It tasted disgusting. Suddenly someone else appeared behind me. I turned to see a very muscular man in a hero suit. He must be the one dad told me about. All Might. I turned back into my human form and ran over to him. I didn't think he saw the entire fight, but he had. He knew it was me that had attacked and saved the city from that thing.

"How did you do that? No one's been able to lay a hand on that thing since it got here. It's been terrorizing the city for months." He said. I was shocked.

"Umm I was just passing by and thought maybe I could help. I've always wanted to be a hero. I'm gonna try to get into UA when the time comes." I didn't really know what else to say to him, and to be honest I did want to be a hero since I discovered my quirks. He smiled at me.

"What if I wrote you a recommendation letter? For you to get into UA?" My eyes lit up at his offer and I nodded.

"Would you really do that?" I asked him full of hope. To have the number one hero believing in me and recommending me to a hero school would be a dream.

"Of course. You have real potential. Mind if I take you home?" He asked. Crap. I hadn't thought about that. Where am I gonna stay?

"Actually I don't...um...I don't have a home." I said, moving my gaze to the ground. After I said that, I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked up to see All Might giving me a sympathetic look.

"You'll stay with me then." He said. I looked up with hope in my eyes. His smile only grew bigger.

"Really? You would let me stay with you?!" I asked, a matching smile erupting on my face. He nodded and took me back to his house.

"It's not much but there's a spare bedroom upstairs that has its own bathroom." He said as he took me upstairs. He opened the door to my new room and said that we would go clothes shopping for me in the morning since he had the day off. In the few months that came before the entrance exams All Might trained me some more and sent that recommendation letter like he said he would.

~Time skip to entrance exams~

I was standing at the entrance gates, waiting to go inside and see if I could pass and go to school to be a hero. Soon enough it was announced that we could start and the gates opened. Everyone rushed in and started attacking the robots. I heard screams coming from a building that looked on the verge of collapse. I rushed over and into the building.

"Hello!? Can anyone hear me?!" I asked rather loudly. I heard many people say yes, so walked carefully around the building to find them. The building was near the entrance so it wouldn't be too hard to get them to Recovery Girl one by one. I carried person after person out of the crumbling building and over to Recovery Girl. I told her the descriptions of the injuries each person told me they had. After the seven of them were safe I went to go find some robots. I found a few two pointers and punched them extra hard with my strengthening quirk. I destroyed a few more robots and then I heard a scream. A green haired boy was attacking a zero pointer robot. He punched it square in the face and then began to fall. I quickly teleported up to him and grabbed him then teleported back to the ground. I took him over to Recovery Girl for her to heal him. Then I heard more screams and flew overhead to see where they were coming from. There was another crumbling building that I saw out the corner of my eye. I went into it as carefully as I could so I wouldn't knock anything over, or cause the building to collapse. I found a few other people who I carried over to Recovery Girl. She thanked me for bringing them over and then someone announced that it was the end of the exam. I was kinda sad that I didn't get to beat more robots, but I felt pretty good about the written part and the physical part of the exam. Now I just had to wait for the results to come in the mail. For the next week I trained endlessly, trying to get my mind off the exam results. I was out training until All Might called me inside to talk.

"What's up?" I asked him as I drank a few sips of water from my water bottle. He looked at me with sparkles in his eyes, like a proud father would look at their daughter. He'd been like my father for a few months now, and I'm grateful for that. Little did I know, he wasn't just like a father to me. He was a father to me.

"The past couple days I've been recording messages for holograms to be sent through the mail, to tell kids how they did on the exams." He announced. I nodded and he continued.

"I figured since you're right here, I could tell you myself. Y/n..." I gulped, thinking I'd failed the exams.

"You did an exceptional job on both parts of the exam. You got a total of 78 points, coming just one point above the second placed student." Wait...so that means...

"I scored higher than everyone else?!" I asked, jumping out of my seat. He nodded and gave me a big hug.

"I'm so proud of you." I heard him say. Before I knew it it was time for me to get up and ready for school. I looked to my alarm to see I didn't have to be awake for another half hour. I turned my alarm off anyway and took a quick shower. After I was finished I put on the school uniform given to me and put on some lip gloss. Then I heard knocking on my door.

"Y/N, it's time to get up and ready for school!" I heard Toshinori shout from the other side of my door.

"I've been up for awhile Toshi." I said, opening my door with a grin.

"So what's for breakfast?" I asked as I skipped past him and down the stairs. He followed me as I sat at the table. He placed a plate of pancakes in front of me and sat next to me.

"You excited about today?" He asked me between bites. I nodded.

"I'm so excited I just might have to fly there." I said after swallowing. He laughed and said he'd take me since he was teaching anyways. While we were in the car on our way to UA, I had a thought. I would be in a class with 19 other kids my age. (Shoji I am so sorry you gonna be in class 1-b for this)

"Hey Toshi?" I asked, moving my gaze from the window.

"What?" He asked, not taking his eyes off the road. I sighed quietly.

"Do you...think the other kids will like me? What if they hate me? I've never had friends before...what should I say?" He parked his car in the parking lot of UA and turned to look at me.

"Y/N I know you've never had friends before because of the whole island thing, and I know you don't like to talk about your past, but I think the other kids will like you just fine. How could they not? And as for what you should say, just be polite and do what feels right, okay?" I looked him in the eyes and nodded at his pep talk, smiling a bit. As I walked through the giant door to your classroom, I noticed a lot of kids already here. They all turned their heads to look at me, and I looked down to the floor. A few seconds later I felt a hand on my shoulder. I lifted my gaze from the ground to see a red haired boy smiling at me with pointed teeth.

"Hi! I'm Eijirou Kirishima, but you can call me Kiri." He smiled and shook my hand.

"Y/N, Y/N L/N." You smile. His face lit up even more when he got the idea to introduce you to some of his other friends.

"Hi I'm Denki, Denki Kaminari." Said a boy with a black streak in his blond hair.

"I'm Sero."

"I'm Mina Ashido!" A girl with pink skin and pink hair said. She seems nice.

"Bakugo, say hi." Kirishima said to a blond spiky haired boy. Said blond boy just grunted angrily. Kirishima turned to me.

"Don't worry, he's like that with everyone. He's just mad that someone did better than him on the entrance exams. He came in second." I smiled faintly at him, then whispered in his ear.

"I came in first." I whispered as I pulled away from his ear. He looked shocked.

"Anyways, this is Bakugo, Katsuki Bakugo." Kirishima smiled.

"SHUT UP DUMB HAIR!" Bakugo yelled. Kirishima rolled his eyes at the angry blond.

"Oh hush, my hair isn't that different from yours. So Y/N, you wanna be a part of the Bakusquad?"
