The sun woke her up. Laya laid tired in the bed beside Hadeon. He had also woken up and looked right into her eyes. His hand went up and down on her bare stomach. Laya closed her eyes and just relaxed.
"I love you Laya." Hadeon said with a dark morning voice.
She opened her mouth to say it back, but nothing came out. She looked away from his hurted eyes.
"I'm sorry, the last person I said that to was my mom, before she died." Laya whispered.
"It's okay, you will say it when you're ready."
Laya took a deep breath. "I am the killer." She said with an unsteady voice.
"I know, and I love you either way." Hadeon said.
She looked surprised at his eyes.
"The King killed my family, and now I'm gonna kill him. You know I don't wanna kill the innocent. I only kill those I have too. And when I do it I do it quickly." This was the first time she ever opened up for someone. And she couldn't help the tears that started to run down her cheeks.
"I will help you." Hadeon spoke.
Laya wanted to say the three words that would change their relationship forever, but she couldn't. Not now.
"Am I the villain?" Laya whispered.
"I don't think so, but many people do." Hadeon said.
Laya took another deep unsteady breath.
