Everyone cheered, all the participants went away from the arena with scars and blood over their bodies. Except for one, the last man standing. He put his long bloody sword in his belt. Flowers were thrown all around him. The screams from the crowd could make you deaf. You could hear a few scream his name. After a while the entire crowd fell in, and everyone shouted James, over and over again. James bowed towards the crowd with a smile on his face. He was just about to walk up to the podium, where he was supposed to take the gold ball, as big as a football. Inside of it was the rarest powder that existed. It was worth millions of dollars. Only the king had seen the powder before, and it was supposed to be only him and his new top guard that would ever see it.
But a young broken girl had other plans. James froze and the crowd got immediately silent when the small wooden door got thrown up.
A devil dressed in black went in with big steps. You could only see her blue eyes. She had two powerful baggers at her side. Half of her clothes were red and you could see fresh scars over her body. She limped easily, but was still able to walk powerfully towards James.
"I have heard rumors you think you can beat me." She said with a dark voice.
James looked at her, she looked down at his legs and started laughing when she saw his shaking legs.
Her laugh was the only sound in the entire arena.
"Not so brave now are you?" She kept walking towards him, like she had all the time in the world. "Let's see who among us is the best."
