The Family (marina)

chapter 1

•info: this is taking place a year after they have been married to each other and their third year together. Maya and Carina both work at station 19 and are hoping to grow their family soon. •

"Maya come on we have to get going or we're going to be late" carina said. It was 8am and they were headed to work for the day. "I'm coming! Just give me one min to make sure I have everything!" Maya replied. Maya and carina were headed to the station where they worked together.

*in the car*

"Hey bambina, the realtor called and was wondering if we could meet them today at the new house to do the last check before we close." Said the brunette. "Yea sure, I think we can leave a bit early today, it shouldn't be too busy I don't think." Said the blonde. "Sounds good!" Maya and carina were buying a new home as they wanted to start a family and thought it would be good to start with a bigger home than their apartment.

"And we're here" Maya said as they pulled into the parking lot of the station. They both got out and started walking towards the door together when they spotted Andy and Sullivan pull up. "Hey guys, good morning!" As both couples greeted each other. The station was their second home and everyone there was family to each other. "I have a meeting so I'll come see you after I'm done?" Said carina. "Yea okayy, just text me if I'm not in my office I'll might be helping pick up the station a little today." The blonde replies. "Sounds good! I love you bambina, have a good morning!" The brunette said. "I love you more babe, don't miss me too much!" Maya shot back.

*later in the day*

Carina walking into mayas office to see her doing some paperwork. "Hey babe" Maya says. "Hey bambina, how was your morning?" Carina replied. "It was good, nothing much just catching up on paperwork and some tidying." -maya "it's almost 4pm do you want to get ready to go, I told the realtor we would meet at the house around 4:30pm" the brunette said. "Yea sure let me just check on everyone in the beanery to make sure I'm not needed anywhere" Maya replied. "Yea sure I'll just get our stuff ready to go." Carina says. "Sounds good, I won't be long" Maya says back with a smile on her face.

*meeting realtor at the new house*

Maya and carina arrive at their new house for their last inspection before they get their keys. "Ah im so excited I can't wait till this house is ours and we can make it our home." Says Maya. " I'm so excited bambina! This will be h the home our bambina or bambino will grow up!" carina says as tears start to form in her eyes. "Awh babe, don't cry, you're going to make me cry." Maya says as they both walk into the house.  They walked around the house looking at all the rooms and just imagining what each room would be like. They were purchasing a 5 bedroom home with 6 washrooms and 2 studies. The house was a big house as they wanted to grow their family in this home forever. "Ah it's just perfect isn't it" maya says as carina is picturing what every room would have. "These two rooms would be for our children and this would be the playroom. This could be a guest room. This could be our office and the children's study over here." They finished walking around before signing a few papers.

*on their drive home*

Maya and Carina are holding hands as Carina drove home since Maya was feeling a bit tired. "babe, when do you think we should start trying for a baby?" the blonde said. "hm I never really thought of a timeline but maybe sometime after we move? I want to get settled into the new house a bit before we do something drastic in our life." replies the brunette. "sounds like a good plan, I just don't want to wait long I really want to have children running around in our new home." maya says as she glances at carina with a great smile. the rest of the ride home was sweet and silent.  

when they got home they ordered take out and enjoyed the rest of their quiet night looking online for some new furniture for the new house. They wanted to purchase new furniture as their new house was a lot bigger than their current one. They were going to be transitioning from a 1 story home to 2 story.
