Chapter 4

* a few weeks after Maya and Carina announced their news to everyone *

Maya and Carina were headed to their first doctors appointment for the baby. Maya and Carina had shared their news with everyone over the last few weeks. Maya and Carina were guessing due dates for their new baby to see who was going to be right as they loved having competitions.

"I think baby will be here June 18" the blonde guessed "um I think our little bambina or bambino will arrive on June 10" the brunette guessed after the blonde. "Ah im so excited bambina" the brunette added as the thought of them having a baby just circled her mind. "Awh im so excited too, this is gonna be such a fun and new adventure" the blonde added as they made their way to the doctors office.

Both women made their way into the doctors office and did their check up for Carina and the baby. The doctors did an ultrasound and the baby was measuring at 8 weeks. "Awh babe, that's our little baby in there" Maya said with tears in her eyes. "It's so tiny" Carina added as tears started to form in her eyes. "Okay so by the looks of this ultrasound it looks that you are around 8 weeks and 2 days so your due date would be June 6th." The doctor said before they got up to exit the office.

*in the car*

"Awh our little baby is so cute already." Maya said as they were driving off to work. Today Maya and Carina were both working at the station. "I was closer bambina" Carina said with a cheeky grin on her face as she reminded Maya that she had guessed the closer date. "Well whatever the due date is, we still have 7 months to prepare." Maya replied as she kissed her wife's hand.

Maya and carina arrived at the station and shared the ultrasound photos with the team and everyone was so excited. The team was all trying to guess the due date with the little information they were given. "I'm going to guess like June 4th" Andy guessed. "No way, Im thinking like June 20th" Vic said with a smirk on her face. "I'm going to have to go with maybe June 29th" Jack guessed " guys, I think I'll be right with the guess of May 30" Travis said hoping he would be right. "Well all of you are wrong but the closest one is Andy" "YES!" Andy screams cutting Maya off. "Well baby bishop-deluca is due June 6th!" Both Maya and Carina announced as the entire team cheered.

*later in the day*

Later that day Maya and Carina made their way home. Carina was craving some pizza so Maya ordered from their favourite pizza place and they at the pizza while watching a movie. "Babe" maya said starring at her gorgeous wife. "Yes bambina" Carina said turning to face the blonde. "I just wanted to make sure you know how much I love you" Maya said as she laid into Carina's chest. "Of course bambina, I love you so much too" carina added giving Maya and kiss on her forehead. The row women just enjoyed their company and continues to snuggle for the night until they fell asleep on the couch.

It was now 4 in the morning and Carina felt sick so she ran to the bathroom to throw up. She basically threw up her entire stomach. Maya woke up due to the lights shining in her eyes and she realized they had fallen asleep on the couch but she didn't see Carina so she got up to look for her. She walked into the bathroom and found Carina just throwing up not stopping. "oh my babe are you okay? It's okay I'm right here" Maya said rubbing Carina's back and holding her hair for her as she threw up whatever was left. Maya and Carina stayed in the bathroom for 15 mins before heading upstairs to their room. "Are you alright babe? That was a lot that you just threw up." Maya said concerned. "Yea baby, I think I just ate too much pizza earlier, I'm okay" Carina said reassuring Maya that she was going to be okay.
After Carina drank some water they both went back to sleep.

A couple hours later Maya and Carina woke up and from the sun shining through their window. The two women got up to start their day. Carina had a day off so it was just Maya who was going to head off to work. "I love you baby, I'll be home soon bye!" Maya shouted as she left the door for work.

Maya made it to the station and did her usual check in and she had a meeting with the station about new news or anything they just needed to catch up on. Later in the day Maya and Andy met up with Carina for lunch at a cafe, but while they were at lunch Maya and Andy had to leave since they got called to a 3 alarm fire.
