The Moon;
A beautiful being,
But her lovely allure is faked;
She steals the sun's rays, so she too can shine just as bright.
However, her true beauty is covered by the façade she puts up.
She thinks she's gross,
An ugly creature;
A monster.
That, of course, isn't true;
But her perception of herself is wrong,
And, therefore, she lies and covers the real beauty underneath,
With the light from her bright and blazing counterpart.
Because she thinks she's a monster, she goes along with it, and acts as if she really is;
Doing horrible things to the ones that love her,
Lying to them, cheating them,
Anything to feed the monster she perceives herself to be.
One day, she will become a beast.
The things she does to others, and the pain she has caused,
Will cause her inevitable fall,
But, for now, she rises above the rest;
Seen by everyone as a goddess, the epitome of beauty.
Until the day she falls,
That façade will always be in effect.
