Chapter 14

"Master?" Passarino asks from offstage.

"Passarino- go away! For the trap is set and awaits for its prey," the Commander's voice sounds as he enters, dressed as Don Juan dressed as Passarino. His eyes rake over Y/n's unsuspecting form, kneeling at the edge of the stage, pretending to pick flowers to put in her basket. 

"You have come here in pursuit of your deepest urge, in pursuit of  that wish, which till now has been silent, silent. I have brought you, that our passions may fuse and merge- in your mind you've already subcommed to me, dropped all defenses, completely subcommed to me. Now you are here with me: no second thoughts, you've decided, decided..." He sings softly, looking at her from the corner of is eye. Y/n uneasily gets to her feet, finally making eye contact as she realizes who it is, and feels herself slipping, just as he said she would.

He begins circling her slowly, their eyes following each other hungrily as male dancers appear in the background, dancing erotically in shadow and silhouette. "Past the point of no return - no backward glances: our games of make believe are at an end... Past allthought of "if" or "when" - no use resisting: abandon thought and let the dream descend... What raging fire shall flood the soul? What rich desire unlocks its door? What sweet seduction lies before us? Past the point of no return, the final threshold - what warm, unspoken secrets will we learn beyond the point of no return..."

When he sings of desire, he launches himself at her, his hand locking around her neck tightly. Her head is thrown back into the crook of his neck, having no choice but to breathe in his intoxicating scent as she whimpers out a moan, only falling upon his worshipful ears.

 "You have brought me to that moment when words run dry, to that moment when speech disappears into silence, silence... I have come here, hardly knowing the reason why... In my mind I've already imagined our bodies entwining, defenseless and silent - Now I am here with you: no second thoughts, I've decided, decided...Past the point of no return- no going back now: Our passion-play has now, at last, begun."

The lyrics slip through her lips loosely as she slowly spins, making eye contact with this ghost, this shadow that follows her wherever she goes, haunts her and fills her in every way. Their eyes darken as they begin approaching the opposite staircases, climbing very slowly as their eyes stay trained on each other.

"Past all thought of right or wrong- one final question: how long shouldwe two wait, before we're one...?" Y/n sings suggestively, almost gasping as the lyrics come to her memory as she realizes she means what she says. They arrive on the balcony and begin their sultry walk towards each other.

"When will the blood begin to race, the sleeping bud burst into bloom? When will the flames at last consume us...?" Her voice grows gravely with the line, eyes growing slimmer as they get closer. The pillars leading up to the balcony swivel, isolating them from any exits to the ground.

Y/n doesn't notice. Or mind.

"Past the point of no return, the final threshold- the bridge is crossed so stand and watch it burn...We've passed the point of no return," They sing passionately as they embrace, the Commander grabbing her hands and twisting her body against him, his large ones enrapturing hers as he slides them up and down her corseted body, her eyes shut in ecstasy, forgetting the full playlist of confused and terrified people watching them.
