Lady Dimitrescu looked down at me with a smile. The doors shut behind us and a gate fell down, blocking the way out.
"She will stay with us and be experimented on like the others, we cannot mess this one up daughters," she looked at the three bug women, "she is supposed to be special."
"Yes mother." The three ladies said before Lady Dimitrescu waved them away.
The three normal sized women laughed maniacally as they dissolved into a swarm of bugs. The bugs flew off into the air and disappeared.
I looked around in shock at the powers they had. A loud slice made my shock turn to fear as I looked to see Lady Dimitrescus nails extended out of each of her fingers on one hand. She slashed her sharp claws up and I was expecting to feel the familiar warmth of my own blood but instead found the freedom of movement.
The clashing sound of my chains hitting the ground echoed in the room as Lady Dimitrescus nails went away. "Thank you..." I looked up to her.
"You won't be thanking me for long," my fear returned to my chest as the chilling words left the tall ladies mouth, "Your room is down the hall, Cassandra will help you find it when you get there."
Lady Dimitrescu turned away and walked down the hall, leaving me alone to collect my thoughts. Now that I had time to myself I can look around the room I was in.
A tall portrait of three women stood tall across from the door that we entered from. I took a closer look to see the words 'Three daughters; Bela, Cassandra and Daniela' written right below it. Was this the three women I saw before? They must have mutated since this painting.
The room has a warm feeling to it, very different than what I experienced in the cold factory. Not to mention the smell was complete different, in the factory I could only smell oil and must but here the air had a thick sent of blood and death.
Just like the villagers always said lived here.
I stepped out of the room and out to the hallway, another turn and I found myself in a large open area. A fire place made the room warmer than the last and a giant chandelier light up the room.
The large stair case lead straight up to the second floor that I could already see most of from down below.
"I can lead you to your room miss..." a female voice made me jump. I turned to expect one of the bug sisters but instead found a normal human.
She was in a maid outfit and seemed nervous to be around me. "You have to help me get out of here." I spoke quietly but quickly.
"I- I can't do that ma'am," the maid stepped back almost in fear of me, "I was requested to come to your aid but I can't help you get out of here."
"You want out of here too right? Help me, we can escape to the village together." I tried convincing the normal looking human.
"I can't, I-" the maid was cut off.
"Mmm I can smell your blood boil in fear." The brunette bug sister appeared behind the maid.
"Miss. Cassandra, I wasn't expecting..." the maid pleaded.
"I will show the guest the way, move aside before I get thirsty." The brunette who i now know is Cassandra almost brought the maid to tears.
"Yes ma'am." The maid ran off into a door under the stairs. From the short glimpse of the door being open I believe the maid went into a dining room.
"Come now, mother is expecting you to be in your room." Cassandra lifted her legs off the ground and floated down some steps, flying like a wasp.
I followed her as to not make her mad. She lead through a small hallway and we went through a door that opened up to a small room with a table in the middle with couches around it.
"Ah there you are," Lady Dimitrescu bent down to enter through a door to the left of us. "Come in now."
Cassandra disappeared into the air once again leaving me with Lady Dimitrescu. She held her arm out for me to grab her hand. I placed my smaller hand in hers and she lead me into a bedroom.
There was a desk with many books, a large bed, and a fireplace to bring to room into a warm atmosphere like the rest of the castle.
"Heisenberg is such a fool, tries to treat his experiments like cattle." Lady Dimitrescu entered the room with me and was almost might height when bending over.
She gently shut the door behind us and walked over to a large chair her size. "Come, sit on the bed. Let's see how much he damaged you."
I did as she asked and felt my heart beat faster in my chest as I stepped over newspaper's all over the floor. The newspapers were all covered in blood and it all lead up to where Lady Dimitrescu was sitting.
"Are you going to eat me?" I asked as I sat on the bed in front of her.
"Oh poor villagers never understand, we only eat men here. The women are either maids or our test subjects." Her words did not bring me any ease.
"Stupid man thing must have messed you up badly there." Lady Dimitrescu took a cloth and a green bottle out of the desk. She poured out some of the liquid into the cloth and lightly put it against my skin. "A doll with soft skin like you shouldn't be put through that."
I slightly winced as the cold liquid burned my cuts from Heisenberg. "Aren't i just an experiment to you?" I asked curious why the lady of the castle was healing me.
"An enemy of Heisenberg is a friend of mine." Lady Dimitrescu looked up from my healing arms and into my eyes. "Plus if you are worthy of Eva, you should be treated as such."
"Eva?" I asked still not knowing why the lords were doing this.
"You'll learn soon," Lady Dimitrescu took off the cloth to reveal clear and healed skin. "Now get some rest, tomorrow will be a busy day."
Lady Dimitrescu put out the fire, making the room go dark. She left through the door, leaving me alone once again.
