"Come now," Alcina lead me out of the room. "It would be better for you to not stay down here for long."

I didn't question her for I already wanted to leave after seeing the hand. I can't say I was that surprised seeing what they use to make the wine. They did afterall eat flesh covered in blood so why would their drinks be any different?

I followed close behind Alcina to find out she took us to the courtyard. A shiver went up my spine from meeting the once again cold air. Luckily I was lead back inside to the warm castle.

Except now I was in a unknown place. It was still part of the castle and had the same gold pacing the walls and ceiling. It seemed to be a hallway with a few doors around it. I took a corner with Alcina and she revealed a large bathtub.

"Clean yourself up," she reached into a drawer and grabbed a towel. "I will go get some new clothing for you and when you're ready go through that door which will lead you into my private chambers."

She pointed to the other door in the room that we did not walk in from. I was surprised that she trusted me this much and kept me alive when she could kill me but I'm not complained about it.

Alcina went to leave but before she went through the door I stopped her, "Alcina..." I looked up at the tall lady, "Thank you for everything."

"You're welcome." Alcina had a warm smile on her face. I caught a glimpse of blush displayed on her cheeks before she hid it by going through the door and leaving me alone.

I turned to the bath and looked around it, it didn't seem to have a faucet. That's when the door behind me opened up and maids walked in with buckets of water. Can't say I'm new to this, growing up in the village had many difficulties like this but it felt weird not having to do it myself.

Once the bathtub had enough water, all the maids left the room. I peaked over the edge of the tub to see it half way full, perfect for someone of my size instead of 9'6 Dimitrescu.

I felt a bit uncomfortable while taking my clothing off but at the same time it felt nice. The old rags I wore were not only itchy but smelled of blood. Maybe the Dimitrescus enjoyed the smell but I wasn't a big fan.

It was a struggle to climb into the tall walls of the bath but I eventually made it in. The water was warm as I sank my body into it. There was some soap I used to completely clean myself. Once done, I climbed out of the tub once again.

I was hesitant to walk through the door in a towel but I didn't have much of a choice. I gently pushed open the door to find a calm room. It was quite and the sight out the window sure was something to see. Outside was the entire village that was being covered in snow. Sure I've seen the mountains before but from this high up in the castle they seemed even more beautiful.

On a chair was a folded dress with a note on top. 'You would look lovely in this Y/N' the neat handwriting, writin in cursive lead me to believe that Alcina had written it herself. I wasn't sure where she was now but I had this time to change into the dress.

I held up the dress to see it would fit me well, maybe a little tall but nothing I couldn't handle. It was black with lace over it just like her daughters dresses. I let the towel that was covering my body fall to the ground and started to change into the dress.

It was rare that I wore a dress but the thought of Alcina liking how I looked made me eger to put it on. I didn't think it would be that comfortable but it was, the fabric was soft and fit my figure well. It wasn't tight nor loose. Alcina must know a lot about dresses to make this fit so well, either that or I'm lucky.

In the room was a small couch, a wardrobe, a dresser, and a dress on a mannequin just like the dress Alcina wears. One thing I found peculiar was a small cradle in the room. It was obviously to small for her daughters so I wonder what it was used for.I didn't hear the door open behind me while I was looking at the cradle.

"So..." a woman's voice made me jump, "the rat survived."

I turned to see a familiar woman. There standing in the middle of the room was her. The Mother Miranda in all her glory. She had a threatening stance like she did before as she looked me up and down.

"Miranda..." I basically whispered under my breath.

"Thought you could get away from me hmm?" She started to step forward and I responded by backing up.

"Well you have failed. The body that was givin to me wasn't you. Why is Alcina protecting you?" She harshly questioned.

"I- I'm not sure." My back soon met the wall but Miranda kept coming closer.

"Oh she's not protecting you, she just wants your blood." She walked until there was only an inch between us, "out that door and down the hall, the first door on your left. Go there and see what your fait will be."

I watched in horror as Miranda laughed in my face and turned to leave. I glanced at the door, I had to see. If I didn't then I could be backstabbed like Miranda said.
