After having their car break down practically next to a building in the middle of nowhere, Jack went inside and asked the person behind the counter if they had a working telephone. Since you know, his stopped working.
They did, and Jack made a call to his brother to come and pick him up. While he waited for hours to pass, he decided to play in the ball pit out of sheer boredom.
Boy did he wish it was a pit that killed him when he came back up. The place looked like he had stepped back in time, everything looked brand new, lively.
And then there was the bright yellow suit that seemed oddly familiar
No one sees him here
I try to, forget and enjoy whats near
He tried to ignore it at first and just wander around the area, staring at the robots. Yiff- nope, he wasn't going to do that again.
Never to believe what's to come
I never thought that would be the outcome
No matter how much he tried to avoid it, he always saw a flash of yellow from the corner of his vision. He should have paid more attention to it along with the twisted stomach.
Finding a place full of life without pain
No cause to complain
In a life that I played
But my eyes, don't escape what I see inside
This did remind him of his family, back when everything was, well, good for the most part. It had been perfect for a while, but even he couldn't run from his past for long before it eventually caught up to him.
Every wall, every place
Something dark is following me here without a trace
When he managed to get back into his own world, he saw his brother just entering the building, But Jack couldn't shake the feeling that he was being watched from the shadows.
Is it real? Or in my head?
I guess I'll find out when I wake up back home or dead
He was sure his mind was playing tricks on him, why did he keep seeing white eyes and a big grinning pair of teeth in his dreams? Or did it only happen at night?
Dreadfully, terribly
Something is amiss
But I won't mind the feeling its all made up in my head
He was most likely being paranoid, his sister did always say his imagination could rival her own, even his brother agreed with her. But that didn't always stop the dreams.
Destinys melody
Calling out to me
So what I'm gonna do
Is fall for you
And walk out to the edge
The yellow rabbit with glaring eyes would always gesture for him to come closer. His legs wouldn't listen to him to stay still, instead, he walked for what felt like hours, and then he would fall.
Never the same
The hope I will drain
From you
He could see me, how could he see me? No. It does not matter, I need the energy, I need more.
Into the pit
I must admit
I come a new
These 5 will do for now.
Taking it further
I find here a murder
With a piece of my mind as I'm caught intertwined between the roads
Of what's modern or old
Screaming, there was so much screaming. Where was everyone going? Was this deja vu?
Jack saw the rabbit beckoning him to follow him. Straight towards the safe room.
Bringing together
The past an endeavour
To restore what I love
And wipe forever memories
He was met with five dead bodies of children, two looked like they were sleeping, two looked like they had died in shock with their eyes wide open. But the final child held him in place before looking at the rabbit.
Held in a dark reverie
It was his sister. The rabbit looked at him with a sickening grin.
Every wall, every place
Something dark is following you here without a trace
Weak and strong, frail but strong-willed. Nothing would stop him now.
Is it real? Or in your head?
I guess you'll find out when you wake up back home or dead
The walls seemed to grow taller with the wall patterns beginning to look like shark teeth. Jack really wished this was a dream. But all he could do was run for the ball pit and jump in before the rabbit could grab him.
Dreadfully, terribly
Something is amiss
But don't you mind the feeling its all made up in your head
What's the matter? You look like you have just seen a ghost? Am I real or am I fake? It's all the same to me. There is no difference.
Destinys melody
Calling out to me
So what I need from you
Is to come closer to the edge
Jack felt something grab his leg and tried to pull him back inside the pit. Only to shriek when he saw his brother pull on his arms away from the rabbit. It felt like a tug of war with his body.
Never the same
The hope I will drain
From you
The yellow robot wasn't having any of it, he shoved Jack away and went for his brother instead. Jack saw red and tried to remove the rabbit's limbs from his brother. Only to get bitten on his right arm to the point it nearly fell off.
Into the pit
I must admit
I come anew
Adrenaline pumping higher than normal, he ripped it out of the monster's mouth and pulled it towards a net, making it wrap around the creature's neck like a noose.
And then he woke up. Looking around he noticed that he was in his bed. Still dark as well. And raining. Heavily.
Was that all it was? A nightmare?
When his heart finally calmed down, he curled into a ball and just laid there, hoping he never had to dream something like that again.
Outside the house, a figure covered in yellow stood silently, with a sickening wide, toothy smile. Including a skinny-looking doll with pigtails.
