Chapter 25: Returning to U.A
Later on after the battle with Stain, the three were emitted to the hospital to have their injuries checked out. For the most part everyone was ok.
"How are you guys holding up?" Izuku asked.
"I'm fine," Yoshito said, "For once, my leg aren't burning or in pain. Must be that technique I learned."
"Same here," Izumi said, "I really gotta thank Melissa for my upgraded hero costume."
The doors opened up to reveal two of the mentors, Mirko and Gran Torino.
"Deku you're alright," Mirko said relieved, "But seriously though great job. You managed to nail those bad guys and survive a total beatdown from that Nomu."
She then turned to Yoshito and gave him a smile.
"And Yoshito! I outta thank you for saving my ass out there from that muscle head." She said.
"Hehe no problem ," Yoshito said.
The chief then came in. Everyone was about to get up.
"Oh no, please stay seated. Woof."
"Woof?" Izuku and Izumi thought.
"Since the appearance of Quirks, the Police Force have refused to employ Quirk users out of fear that Quirks would be used as weapons and that was why heroes rose up to fill that position, but only if they followed strict rules and morals, as even young heroes like them must know they are not ready to take such roles, as they may harm others with their Quirks," The chief explained.
He then turned to Izuku.
"Now, Izuku Midoriya, I presume? I'd like to thank you for helping out with that one villain, normally you'd face some sort of punishment but given that you were given permission, you're off the hook, and I thank you and your younger sister for keeping the peace," the chief said before turning to Todoroki, "You were also given permission by your guardian to use your quirk, although you did not face off against the hero killer."
He then turned to Iida who had his head down.
"You however went off on your own to fight the Hero Killer, and you used your quirk on him without permission which is against the law," the chief continued, "Even if it was just the hero killer, you still used your quirk on somebody without permission. You and your guardian would have to receive punishment for breaking the law."
Torodoki was infuriated with this. He stood up to the chief.
"Hold on," he said, "Had Iida not intervened, an innocent hero would have died."
"Yea, what he did was a stupid move for sure, but he managed to save someone's life," Izumi agreed.
"No no, he's right," Iida said, "I did this, and now I must face consequences."
The chief cleared his throat.
"However, I wouldn;t want to put a future aspiring hero in jail before his journey began, so we have another option for you," the chief said, "You could say that you were attacked by the hero killer and fought in self defense. Nobody else saw the battle that happened."
Iida thought for a moment.
"I'll take it sir," Iida said.
"Good choice," the chief said with a smile, "As for you three, you will be given full credit for the defeat of Stain. Fortunately nobody actually saw the battle aside from us, but you've done us a huge favor."
Izuku and Izumi bowed.
"Thank you sir," they said in unison.
"No, thank you," Kenji said, "for keeping the peace."
