Part 8

After I had finished laughing at their stupidity we all left and went to lunch, we collected our food and walked to our regular table taking our seats only Sapnap sat next to me. I took the opportunity to confuse the rest of the boys.

"Wow look at us", I started gaining everyone's attention, Sapnap looked at me waiting for me to finish, "We're sat next to each other and we're not in a car or on a motorbike on our way to my house", I joked.

Sapnap chuckled at our little 'inside joke' if that's what one would call it whilst I took in the priceless looks on the others faces.

"What?", Alex finally asked breaking the silence that had lingered around the table after Sapnap's chuckle. 

I laughed a little before answering, "It's an inside joke." I turned to see the smile on Sapnap's face, a smile I had never seen before. Usually, his smile was quite small almost as if it was nervous but right now it was beaming, I could have sworn that at that moment the sun resigned, giving up as it knew it couldn't compete with him.

He turned to me noticing my eyes locked on him and once again his smile returned to being the shy, nervous one I was used to. I leaned towards him slightly, not disturbing the other boys or their conversations among the table. 

"You should smile like that more often", I told him, my voice quiet so only he could hear.

His eyes darted all around me and on me like they were unable to stay focused or sit still. I wondered how a person could be so bold yet so shy, so straightforward though still respectful and polite, so good but still so bad.

I had heard rumours and Alex had told me a few stories before losing the fight to sleep last night but I just couldn't see how they were talking about him. The boy sat next to me right now. I couldn't imagine him doing half the things I'd been told unless I'd just not seen that side of him? Somehow that only intrigued me more.

I was pulled back to the conversation when I heard George calling me.

"Yeah", I asked quickly turning my head to face him.

"I said do you want to come with us"

"Where to and when?"

"We're going to the mall after school, probably around 5 ish", he explained with a smile.

I looked around at everyone's faces, just making sure that they actually wanted me to come and weren't just trying to include me. Everyone was either smiling or awaiting my answer. 

"Yeah sure, I'll come with you guys", I smiled back, happy to be invited along.

The rest of the day passed by in a blur and nothing interesting really happened. I picked my stuff up from my locker and walked through the parking lot to my car. I sat waiting in the drivers seat for Quackity because he hadn't told me if he was coming back with me or not yet.

No, I'm gonna go home and I'll pick my stuff up from your house later

I drove home and sat around waiting to pass time, I had nothing to do until 5 pm with the boys so I just waited, ate and rearranged my room like three times. It got to about 4:30 pm and I decided to change into something a little warmer as we'd probably be out for a while and I was not gonna be the girl who needs one of the boy's jackets.

I decided on some black, skinny, ripped jeans, a lacey, black 'top' and a loose black and white thick striped jumper which I tucked into the jeans at the front. I added some jewellery and a belt, I put on some cute and comfy boots to match and then gathered my stuff; keys, money, phone.

I drove to the mall and met George and Karl already sat waiting near a fountain. The two of them saw me and stood up, walking to me as I did them.

"Are the others not here yet?", I asked confused about where the others were.

"No, but apparently they're only 5 minutes away", George answered looking at a message from Quackity.

"Can we get frozen yoghurt now?", Karl asked looking at George. "You said to wait till someone else gets here", he turned to look at me, smiling. "Someone else is here.

"Fine, come on then", George grabbed both mine and Karl's hand pulling us towards the frozen yoghurt shop. Karl looked and giggled to me as if he was a five-year-old who'd just won an argument with his Dad.

George chose blueberry with chocolate chips and strawberries, Karl got French vanilla with raspberries and chocolate chip cookie dough and I got (Your Choice).

[I have never had frozen yoghurt before so don't come for me about the flavours, I just tried to colour-code them with the 'CC's colours' if that makes sense since I thought that would be cool]

As we were about to finish ordering Dream, Sapnap and Quackity finally showed up and ordered their frozen yoghurt too. Sapnap chose peanut butter with fudge, Dream got mint with sugar crystals and Quackity chose marshmallow with blueberries.

We all sat down with our yoghurt and decided on what we wanted to do whilst we ate.

"How about the movies?", George suggested.

"And what would we watch?", Quackity asked him.

"A movie", George replied sarcastically.

I laughed at the two being their usual selves.

"What about the arcade?", Karl asked before putting in a spoonful of frozen yoghurt. I agreed with his idea, the arcade sounded fun.

"So we've got the movies, the arcade, anything else?", Dream looked around at the places around the mall. 

"We'll come up with other stuff when walking around", I shrugged after swallowing the yoghurt in my mouth. Everyone nodded and agreed, we finished eating and then started walking around.
