Study Sessions and Ice Rings | Sapnap x [Fem] Reader | Highschool AU

Part 9

We decided to walk around first, Quackity messing about on the escalator and making a couple think he got his lace stuck because of him shouting, "Oh no, my lace!", followed by, "Ahhhh!" and a fake fall. I'll admit, it was funny but I also felt kind of bad for the couple that was generally worried.

We walked away in a hurry and then began laughing to ourselves.

"You idiot", I laughed at him, pushing him playfully.

He nearly fell over from laughing so hard and that just made us all laugh more. Eventually, we managed to contain ourselves, which took a lot longer than expected because every time Dream's wheeze came out it caused another laughing fit which then caused Quackity to fall again causing a second laughing fit and that would just loop for about 20 minutes.

By the time we actually finished laughed everyone was either red or lightheaded if not both, so we decided that going to the movies now was best as it would help us all calm down and give us time to relax.

We walked into the darkroom and into our seats. We sat in the order; Dream, George, Sapnap, me, Karl, Quackity. The movie soon started playing and we got comfortable, turning off our phones and watching the screen. The movie we decided on was a horror and within the first 20 minutes, Dream and George were hiding behind each other. Karl jumped every time the suspenseful music came on or someone else sat in the theatre coughed in the back, it was pretty funny really. I couldn't help but laugh.

Another 20 minutes passed and the movie only had about 30 minutes left, it really wasn't all that scary besides the few jump scares that actually managed to make us all jump. 

The lights in the room slowly turned on, the row of lights at the front of the room turning on first and then slowly the rest followed. I let my eyes adjust and then realised there was something in my hand. I turned to see a hand in mine, fingers interlocked and a thumb rolling over my knuckles. It was Sapnap's hand. Sapnap was holding my hand?

I moved to look at his face instead of his hand and he didn't even seem to think anything of it. He had his phone in his free hand scrolling, eyes locked on the screen. I hear a small gasp from beside me and turned to see Karl looking intensely at our hands. When he saw me looking at him he immediately looked away. He was now staring at the floor space in front of him, the biggest smirk I'd ever seen on his face.

Sapnap's hand unlinked from mine and I turned to see Sapnap looking at me once again his nervous smile on his face. "Sorry, I didn't realise I'd grabbed your hand", he spoke whilst rubbing the back of his neck.

I answered quickly, "No it's okay, I didn't realise either", I laughed nervously. He seemed uncomfortable, in a way, and I didn't want to have that effect on him. The second he stood up and followed Dream and George out of the room I put my head in my hands.

I felt a hand on my back rubbing it gently, I moved one hand from my face and turned to see Karl minus his shit-eating grin instead, he had a pitiful smile. 

"Don't be embarrassed", he started. "We all know you like each other", he giggled slightly.

"I didn't even know I'd grabbed-", I stopped the second I'd registered what he said. "What?"

"What?...", he looked at me confused.

"What did you say?"

"Don't be embarrassed?"

"No the other part", I told him sitting up in my seat.

"Ohh, that we all know you like each other", my jaw dropped. Did he like me?

"Now come on before they leave us", Karl pulled me up from my seat and stopped to look at me. He used his fingertip to shut my mouth. "There", he laughed.

Karl dragged me out of the room quickly so we could catch up to the others. After we caught up I still couldn't get what Karl had said out of my head, I would have known if Sapnap liked me. Wouldn't I? Surely I would have clicked on by now?

Karl nudged me to bring me back from my thoughts. I looked at him as if to ask 'yes?'.

"Are you alright?", he asked me quietly so that none of the others heard.

I moved my hair that was dangling in front of my eye and then nodded, "Yeah sorry, just lost in my thoughts."
